This was such a wonderful home! As other reviewers said, lots of room for a big group to spread out. We had 8 guests. (6 adults and two kids) We explored Harpers Ferry and enjoyed hiking the Maryland Heights Trail. We felt absolutely comfortable hanging at this serene house for our mornings and evenings. Cooked most of our meals, played billiards, sang karaoke, and enjoyed the plunge pool. We had an epic round of hide and go seek. Great interior design and lots of space to spread out for quiet time, and many perfect reading nooks. Thanks Leigh, for being so responsive and friendly!

Was a wonderful immersive experience. We enjoyed dining and playing board games in the great hall. The escape rooms were very well done. I was skeptical on how it would go without a game master, even had some nice surprise moments. Looking forward to staying again. Kids were upset we weren't staying all week.

We had a wonderful family reunion here with 3 generations. Each family had their own private space but there was tons to do on the property together as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked, too.

We traveled to the area to attend a golf tournament - we stayed for four nights. The property is gorgeous! I always try to rent properties with a fenced in backyard but there were no neighbors anywhere in sight and the backyard was HUGE so my dog didn't wander at all. We saw lots of wildlife - beautiful inquisitive deer and turkeys. The home was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook dinner. I especially loved the stovetop and oven and huge SubZero fridge/freezer. My only complaint was pics of the pool show a spa that is part of the pool - we have stayed in plenty of Airbnbs with pools like this and the spa should have been operational but we were informed that it was not. "Hot tub" was not advertised but in my experience a hot tub is stand alone from the pool which is what I have at home. Spas that are part of a pool should be able to be turned on when in use. Portoro Homes replied quickly when we inquired - however we were disappointed.

The home was big and beautiful. It was much more than I was expecting and the access to the KOA was a plus. My family and I can’t wait for an opportunity to return.

Mila and George were gracious hosts and very responsive to our needs. Their guesthouse was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It was quiet and peaceful, yet convenient to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. We had a wonderful stay!

Shirley's place is a fantastic little find. Pristine, spacious, welcoming. Great host. Only stayed one night so couldn't explore locally but saw several nice places to eat and ship at on my drive in. An approx 20 min drive from major DC attractions. Great neighborhood!

We had a wonderful stay at Shafia’s place! We enjoyed the area and rode the Metro from the Franconia Springfield station into DC. This was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Beds were comfortable and the space was perfect for us. (Girls’ Trip!) We visited AmThai close by, Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, The Library of Congress (tickets in advance), Zaytinya (reservations), the National Portrait Gallery, Virtue Feed & Grain (reservations), Old Town Alexandria, Old Town Books, the Swiss Bakery nearby, Barca (reservations), and Tous Les Jours Bakery & Cafe. Wow, gorgeous home, back yard and patio. The pictures don’t lie! Both Elena and Dory are so very friendly and the response times were excellent. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and Elena let us borrow a cooler for tailgating (it’s a perfect place to stay for the nearby Wolftrap). We will return to this place again! Side note: The wine outlet on Walker Rd has a very knowledgeable and friendly manager.

I booked this beautiful home for a personal getaway for myself and my dog. The location was perfect. It’s beautifully nestled in the woods. They have maximized the beauty and landscape of the property. Every detail within the house is beautifully curated and thoughtfully laid out and planned to include the ability to bring your pet and also ensure that you are able to clean up after your pet very easily. The deck tub was fabulous! It’s both hot and cold, so in the 100 degree weather, the cold tub was amazing. I can’t wait to visit again!

Hammad was very responsive and helpful, especially when I needed some help setting up the TV (getting logged into my streaming accounts). We very much enjoyed our stay. If you are planning on cooking, you might want to bring a chef's knife, ceramic non-stick pan, and a silicone spatula (I bought some at the local Wegmans, no problem). It's also possible that these were in the kitchen and I just missed them.

Perfect location for our visit to Robert Trent Jones golf course for LIV golf tournament

We booked this for our family that was visiting from Europe. The house had all the amenities that we were looking for. The host was extremely nice, we needed a pack n play and even though they didn’t have one they were kind enough to get it for us on short notice. We were able to accommodate our whole family and had a really good time. The house was very clean and the hot tub was a very good addition. We really enjoyed our stay.

A group of four of us stayed over a weekend for the LIV golf tournament is Gainesville, VA. The house was pretty easy to find and located in a great central area. Directions to the house and check in instruction were clear. The home was clean and everything worked well. It felt like a mix of an old homey cabin with modern features. The overlook of Lake Jackson makes for a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Each morning we enjoyed a cup of coffee while overlooking the lake and listening the wildlife. Even saw a few bald eagles flying over the lake. Overall, our stay was great and Karen was helpful and responsive with any questions/requests we had. 5 out of 5 would stay again.

Eric’s place is newly renovated. Very spacious, clean and well supplied. Great option for big group. Eric is super friendly, respond to any requests immediately. We had great time and would definitely book again if needed.

What a lovely, cared-for home in a quiet neighborhood, within driving distance of anything we wanted. We had everything we needed, as well as responsive, helpful hosts. It was ideal for a toddler, parents, and grandparents. Thanks so much for being able to help us out when our other reservation fell through at the last minute- we ended up in a place that was perfect and so much better than our original plan would have been!

From the time I made the reservation a few months prior, Joshua was always available and provided very useful information! He was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He maintained contact during our stay in a very responsive way, but not intrusive. We highly recommend the farm and beautiful home and Joshua as the host!! My daughter was getting married and she and her sister stayed for the final few nights before the wedding. Beautiful, peaceful non-stressful area to relax and be ready for the big day. I highly recommend the place! It is a peaceful, beautiful spot looking out to the mountains!
