Rural Dorset Retreat

SandraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Couldn't begin to do justice here with how stunning the house and location are. The accessible bedroom and bathroom are the best we've ever had for my husband's complex needs (he has MND and is in a wheelchair). Victoria is very kind and responsive, a superb host. We were left a really great welcome pack, too! Would love to return.

Sunset Cabin Somerset

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Fantastic place with a beautiful view and very quiet. Henry and Debbie lovely hosts. I asked them to help me with a special request to surprise my partner on arrival which they had no problem with at all and were incredibly helpful, which was very much appreciated. Shower was nice and powerful, everything you could need in the kitchen. VERY comfy sofa and a gorgeous outdoor space to sit in. We came in the summer but this place would also be lovely and cosy in the winter. Super clean and felt very at home. The only watch out would be the entrance which is very tight and we held our breath every time we brought the car in not to scratch it on the wall, but to be fair Henry was clear about this and we have a rather large car! Overall this is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend.

Moorhen cabin

SallyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had the most wonderful stay at the cabin. The cabin itself is light and airy, whilst cosy and comfortable. We came with our 8 month old and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. The grounds were beautiful and we were able to use a good chunk of the garden. We felt very comfortable in the space and welcomed. The host Carolynn was absolutely fantastic. Great communication, gave us good recommendations and was just so helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend staying at this wonderful place!!

Luxury 2 Bed Woodland Cottage on Rewilding Estate

KristineRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Keeper's Cottage on the Mapperton estate. The cottage was in excellent order, beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. All we needed was there. Instructions and suggested restaurants and activities were very helpful. Such great hosts. Loved the tour of Mapperton! Whether you have loads of activities planned for your stay in Dorset, or just want to kick back and read a good book, this is the place to be. It is incredibly quiet and restful, and yet there are restaurants and shops a quick drive down the road. We felt a million miles away and relished our time there. We truly hope to return!!

Dorset Alpaca Shepherd's Hut

MarcusRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely stay in Paul's shepherd's hut. The hut was great and the rural surroundings were idyllic. The alpacas were fascinating to watch. Paul was a great host and provided lots of useful suggestions and information regarding things to see and do locally.

We had a lovely stay in Duntish. Sam’s place was spotless and very convenient for two families with little babies! Lovely few days exploring near by and visiting the local pub. We would love to come back.

The Old Forge

SueRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week at The Old Forge. It’s just as seen in the photos if not better, particularly when taking in the beautiful surrounding countryside of the little hamlet it’s nestled in. Has all the facilities you need..in fact more than in the description as there was a hairdryer and TV, …not that I watched it. It was far more relaxing sitting on the private patio watching the birds. So many varieties, including a nuthatch and a woodpecker. Judy, the host, was welcoming and generous. Along with fresh eggs, milk and Dorset biscuits, Judy brought over flowers and baked a delicious lemon drizzle cake. I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend a stay.

The old forge cottage Lower Wraxall

Staying at the cottage was great, the building is quirky, great high ceilings and a lovely outside, which was perfect for sitting and also great if you have dogs too. Lovely place and do recommend.
