Very well kitted out cottage. Very comfortable. Only downside is the toilet being downstairs and the staircase being steep albeit with a good staircase.

Rural idyllic bolthole for 2

NedRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a really enjoyable week in Kaz and David’s comfortable and well equipped garden studio apartment. The space is comfortable, compact, modern and well designed with everything we needed. We appreciated that Kaz had left us a welcoming card, fresh milk and tea and a cake on arrival and soon felt at home. We were particularly lucky with warm sunny days and it was lovely to have breakfast outside on the patio listening to the singing of the birds and the sing-song flow of the brook - the River Cerne - at the bottom of the garden. Charminster is less than half an hour from the south coast with fine beaches and coastal walks. We also loved the nearby village of Cerne Abbas, home of the chalk hill Giant, a peaceful and beautiful abbey and well, and walks in the valley of the River Piddle. Littlebarn was very comfortable to return to in the evenings, with its well equipped kitchen, a reasonable internet connection and television and a comfortable bed.

Casterbridge, a single story barn conversion

AusraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely long weekend stay at this beautiful accommodation. It was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. Christine and Paul, the owners, were very welcoming. We were greeted with a lovely hamper that included bread, milk, and delicious marmalade! Everything we needed was provided. It's a very quiet location, which made for a peaceful stay. We can definitely recommend it. We also explored the surrounding areas in Dorset, and our son enjoyed playing swing ball with the boys staying next door.

Unique hideaway in Dorset AONB

Stayed with a few friends for 2 nights and had an absolutely incredible time! The pictures don’t do this barn justice - it’s so homely and cosy. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the upstairs is the perfect place to sit around and chill. The location is absolutely gorgeous with so much to do, Cerne Abbas is a lovely little village in easy walking distance and we of course had to grab a Cerne Abbas Giant pint glass from the local store! James and Nora were very friendly and left clear instructions, they were quick to respond and provided so much in the barn itself for cooking, tea and coffee. The eggs were incredibly fresh and delicious, a staple for breakfast here! Would love to come back in the future and stay again!!

Lovely 3-bedroom village home

Three person professional stay over, booked last minute for three nights, but Karen was able to accommodate and everything was great. The house has everything you can need for a short/long stay, and Karen is great at communicating and providing details of the local area. Due to work I was unable to see much of the local area, but if I return I will definitely book a stay at Karen’s house.

Cosy, dog friendly cottage in the heart of Dorset

TraceyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely 3 nights stay. The cottage was very spacious including the garden and perfect for our spaniel dog. We also always managed to get a car parking space outside the cottage. Shelley was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend the Brewers Arms which was under 2 minutes walk away, for their food and warm welcome. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are close by and also Ab

Had a lovely stay, the property is lovely, nice and clean. The garden was very big and great for our cocker spaniel. We felt very safe just letting her out and to roam. Would highly recommend as also lots to do locally...
