A real castle farm cottage, set amongst farms and rolling countryside. With two-foot thick walls, 4 to 5m high ceilings, it is so peaceful we couldn’t hear anything but birdsong. There are house martins nesting in the eaves of the hosts’ cottage next door. It is a beautifully converted barn – everything is immaculate including ceramic floors and underfloor heating. The garden is magical - in June it was full of flowers. The hosts Tracy and Roland are very kind and welcoming.

We stayed at the Old Post Office and had a great time. The property is full of character and was perfect for our family of two young boys. We particularly enjoyed the log fire, the chest of family games, and the selection of thoughtful touches. Everything to make our stay easy and relaxing was in place. The village is small, peaceful and perfectly located to go into Seahouses and Bambrough. We would stay here again and recommend highly. Perfect property; perfect host.

This hut was beautiful!! I'd highly recommend it to anyone. The views were gorgeous and it was so lovely and quiet. It felt super cosy, cute and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and left out a lovely aray of things for us on arrival, including a little post card with pictures of the hut to remember it by! I especially loved looking at the book they'd left out which told the story of the hut being made and showed photos of the whole process of it being built! Fascinating! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The Lookout cabin is ideally located for a peaceful break, with walks on the doorstep and the coast just a short drive away. After a day exploring the local area it was a joy to relax in the evening by the lake watching and listening to the wildlife. The cabin is very well thought out with evening you could need. Goergie has created the perfect place and looking forward to the next visit.

Wow not enough words to describe this place, it was beautiful, ultra clean and just wow!! Everything you needed for your stay here, fantastic hamper on arrival together with milk, coffee, sugar and tea to make yourself a drink when you arrived which was great. We had such a lovely warm welcome from Hamish who made himself right at home and obviously knew there was a jar of biscuits just for him when he called by, he is adorable and so friendly, I could have easily packed him up and brought him home! The house, surroundings and everything was so perfect and we will definitely return and would highly recommend it to everyone as the best place to stay. Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful house and we look forward to returning.
