Wendale Barn is a beautifully renovated, compact, detached building, the perfect place to relax on the edge of Cheddar. With private patio, decking and stunning views of the reservoir and Glastonbury Tor. Private, romantic, the ideal getaway, with double bed upstairs and sofa-bed in the living room; although it is open plan, so the shared space isn’t private. Access is via a run of steps up the hillside, some garden terraces are up to 1.1m high, without guardrails and there is a shallow pond.

Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Situated in an elevated position in the pretty Somerset village of Compton Martin near Wells, nestling in the beautiful Mendip countryside and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With far reaching views of Chew Valley and Blagdon lakes, you're also close to Wells, Bath, Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. This delightful accommodation is just a stone's throw from the extremely popular village pub.

Doris our shepherds hut

Doris our shepherd's hut is nestled in our paddock and meadow on the Somerset levels and has lovely views over neighbouring fields. It is close but not too close to our other hut Daphne and our annexe room Huberts. We are keen to encourage flora and fauna and manage the paddock accordingly. We are situated on the outskirts of a small village and the edge of the Somerset levels. We are ideally situated for sightseeing around Somerset. Daphne our other hut is also in the paddock.

Welcome onboard your own private aircraft, step inside to the sleek contemporary interior of first class. Outside, unwind in seclusion in private woodland, a short walk away from the West Somerset Railway and the AONB of the Quantock Hills. An ideal getaway for two in first class, for families there is a bunk bed in the living room area. Dogs at additional cost.

Traditional Shepherds Hut with a back to basics feel, privately situated in our quiet, walled garden, on the sunny slopes of the Mendip Hills. A stones throw from the famous Cheddar Gorge and Cliffs . Access to lovely walks and bike trails direct from your door , and yet a short stroll to pubs , cafes and restaurants. Wood stoves for those chillier nights to keep things cosy , we provide all wood/kindling . You will need to manage the stove yourself , a relatively easy task .

Rookham View Lodge is located on a smallholding on top of the Mendips overlooking Wells. Relax on the patio, catch a view of the Red Kite soaring high, or visit the sheep, ponies, goats, ducks and chickens in the surrounding field. Get active on the many footpaths leading from our property, gently cycle the Somerset levels or try the more challenging rides on the Mendip Hills. Active or relaxing - we guarantee you will enjoy the view from our Lodge at the end of your day.
