Holiday rentals with lake access in Chippewa County

We had such a wonderful stay! Tim and Sue’s home is beautiful! It had everything we needed and more. It is so relaxing and peaceful! Long walks on the sandy beach, listening to the water as we sat in the Adirondack chairs on the sand dune with our morning cup of coffee, relaxing inside in front of the cozy fireplace, it was exactly what we needed! We would love to stay again!

The bonfire at this house is truly amazing! In the early morning, you'll be gently awakened by the pleasant sound of wind chimes. The room's décor has a cozy cabin feel to it. It’s definitely spacious enough for five people, and we stayed here very comfortably.

It is the perfect vacation place. This place has direct lake access with scenic peaceful surroundings. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cherished each moment we spent. Barbara's place feels like home with thoughtful attention to details. Especially if you are traveling with a big group or kids, she has provided enough toys and supplies like kitchen/bath towel, coffee etc. Highly recommended Just one thing to mention, the King bed is on a lofted bedroom which does not have four wall enclosure like regular rooms. I think this is a Michigan architecture style and looking carefully at the pictures you can easily figure it out. So something to be careful about for a big group

Trestin was an outstanding host. He was knowledgeable about the activity our vacation was built around, and gave us perfect tips for timing, parking, and planning. When our vacation took an unexpected and unfortunate turn right at the end, he extended his hand to offer help was able to assist us in figuring out what needed to be done. We would reserve with him again upon our next visit.

Felt like we fit right into the location. Very safe location. No issues with neighbors - never bothered us.

My family had a fantastic stay here! The location is AMAZING. You really can’t beat the distance to the ferry if you’re planning to go to Mackinac island, it’s truly down the street to the ferry station, not even a 5 minute walk. There’s also a fascinating Ojibwa museum next door and an ice cream place within walking distance for more fun activities in the area. The host Oxana was very nice and responsive, and the airbnb looks exactly like the pictures! The pull out couch is also very comfortable. Would love to visit again! :)

Our stay at this Airbnb was the best we’ve ever had! The photos were an exact match, perfectly capturing the spacious, inviting home. Check-in was a breeze with a flawless lockbox and clear directions—Google Maps led us right to the door. The cleanliness was impeccable. I have pretty high standards of what clean means, and was blown away by the spotless floors, pristine bathrooms and kitchen. The host’s detailed binder found on the counter for us upon arrival was a gem, with clear instructions for any questions you may have about appliances, the house, etc. The lake was stunning, and though we didn’t use the kayak, we will definitely come back to take advantage of the lake. The neighborhood felt incredibly safe, perfect for walks. Just 30 minutes from St. Ignace/Shepler’s Ferry to Mackinac Island, the location was ideal. The house was roomy enough for our family trip, ensuring everyone had space to relax. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much, Sarah!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway for two. Beautiful part of the island and away for all the crowds. Has two restaurants within walking distance. They offer bike rentals right at the Airbnb and it’s only about 15 minute ride to downtown.

Beautiful view of the water! Close to many good restaurants & shops. This room is connected to an inn, and the large, shared deck is connected to the bedroom and living room. There could be noise from other guests while you are there. The entrance is next to the lobby with the vending machine, so again- the other guests will be nearby. We enjoyed exploring the area… beautiful location!

This place was wonderful! It’s easy to feel right at home and its location is perfect! There are food places that are walkable and is near a dollar general for any last minute snacks or other needs. It’s also incredibly close to a ferry that takes you to Mackinac Island so there’s no need to pay extra for parking. The place is clean and comfortable after a long day of fun!

Great place to stay in a beautiful area away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Sara (Owner) was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. The condo was clean and was the perfect size for a group of five.

Our stay was wonderful! We enjoyed the location as it was close to the ferry we took to Mackinac Island two different days. It was peaceful and nice having a full kitchen. We will definitely come back!

Really loved the setup with a patio walkout onto the beach and the sunrise in the morning over the lake was glorious. Very close to the ferry and loved the convenience. Great place.

Edmond’s place is actually even better than expected. It’s bigger in real time than the photos show. It is very comfortable and so quaint above the bakery. It was super quiet being above a bakery and across from the ferry. We heard no bothersome noise at all. The beds and linens are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, there is nice comfortable furniture, and we felt right at home. As others have said, the bakery coupon is an extra touch that is classy and honestly just fun! I would stay again and struggled to leave. Thank you for such a lovely home away from home. Do not hesitate to stay here. Very convenient location. BIG FAN!!

Was the perfect retreat from the city, with fresh air, a beautiful lake view waterfront access, and privacy. The neighbors were friendly and informative of restaurants firewood purchases and ideas for the stay. Highly recommend it for a getaway in the beautiful Drummond Island. Will definitely be back.

This was the third time staying at this property. My family and I love it. It's a great place to watch the freighters and to just relax. Thank you again to Randy and Doug.

We had a great time at the cottage on the river. It was very private and peaceful with lots of ships going by. It is close enough to walk to the parks and town area. The cottage itself is a wonderful mix of eclectic furnishings and decorations. After 10 days here I still don’t think we noticed all of the details. It was fun each day finding something interesting that we hadn’t seen yet. We would recommend Brenda’s cottage as a nice relaxing place where you can explore the eastern U.P.

This home has everything you need. Kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of towels, and wood for a fire. The crows nest has great views!

Our stay was beyond perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful and private. We enjoyed the views of the lake, and the wildlife. Having the kayaks available was an added plus. We highly recommend this location and this cottage. We will be back next year. Thank you Gary, for everything.

The guest house is perfect for our family of 5 adults and our dog. We stayed 3 nights and spent 2 full days visiting the MacKinac Island. The house has everything we need for a comfortable vacation. We cooked 2 dinners, the night we arrived and the next evening. Thank you

Great place to watch sunsets and moon sets Was a short drive to botanical gardens to watch freighters come through and take a walk Locks were apx an hours drive away and full of animals to see on the way Only downside was restaurants not close by so be prepared to drive 30 to 45 mins or take the ferry if you want to dine out We had everything we needed to cook both inside and out and grill or use the fire pit for food We enjoyed the house and lake so much we didn’t want to leave we only left the house one day to go explore and check out the locks Will be booking again Thank you for sharing your house we left relaxed and recharged

This house is gorgeous with a large yard and private lake access. It was super clean and had everything you can possibly need. Loved my stay here! :)
