I am grateful to have stayed in such an amazing place, with my dog, Jax! The host was very responsive and instructions were clear and to the point. It is a very relaxing and quiet area as well, and my dog enjoyed drinking from Lake Superior with ease. Great little spot for a jumping off point for more hiking in the area. Little bar offering pizza and drinks is right next door. Friendly people. Enjoyed the area and the quick stay. Place exceeded cleanliness expectations.

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

My family and I stayed for a few nights while exploring pictured rocks and this was an absolute perfect stay. Anything you could need/want to feel right at home (even with children) and stay entertained while relaxing was here. We also got great advice on what and how to sightsee efficiently from Ken. The apartment was very private and quiet and more than plenty of room for our family of 5. Upon arrival we were greeted and given any info we needed for our stay and walked into a very clean and well stocked apartment. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Buddha’s place while in town for a few days for my daughter’s graduation. Buddha was incredibly helpful during our stay, keeping us informed on weather changes for our travels and checking in by message. He was a fantastic host, very thoughtful and flexible which was awesome given how busy we were with the graduation. And the place is so incredibly beautiful, clean and well stocked and being on the gorgeous river- I would love to come back when it is warmer and we have more time to relax. Overall, the stay was a 10/10 and we highly recommend!!

Wonderful home on Lake Superior! We stayed with 6 kids, 3 adults and two dogs so you can imagine the chaos. Kevin was quick to respond with any questions we had. Upstairs bedrooms do get a little warm but fans were provided. I was a little hesitant with well water but it did not have any odor. Due to water pressure we were only able to use one shower at a time. Back yard is large and fenced for our furry friends. We enjoyed walking to the lake in the morning to enjoy a cup o joe. We enjoyed the two living rooms so everyone could spread out. Kitchen was furnished with everything we could need. The Iron Bay restaurant in town was delicious and quick service. If your looking for a family friendly home on the lake this is it!!!

Beautiful getaway! My fiancé and I had an amazing time. The hot tub, view, and fire made the experience unforgettable. They provided everything we needed firewood, a fire starter kit, seasonings, and more. 100% planning to come back next year. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

What a lovely, peaceful lakeside retreat! We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was very clean and well appointed. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The views from outside and inside the home were amazing. Every morning was spent on the Adirondack chairs with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise on the lake. For the bird lovers, we saw a kingfisher, a bald eagle and a pileated woodpecker. For the hikers, it was a short drive to Pictured Rocks, Porcupine Mountains, and countless waterfalls. We were able to view the northern lights from Presque Isle, which is just a short distance from the house. Mark was a great host, and quick to provide any information we needed before and during the trip. We will definitely be back!

This is an incredible place. Peaceful, with beautiful views of Lake Superior, and the feeling that you have a quiet space to yourself, but with plenty of restaurants, cafes and things to do within ten minutes. I hope to make it back here again!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage! Everything was just as mentioned and Pam even went above and beyond to give us some information about local things in the area. Beautiful location with views of Little Bay de Noc. Fenced in backyard is great for dogs and the property is "green" friendly, even had pipes, papers and a grinder. For those that don't care for that smell (like my wife), no worries! She couldn't detect even a faint whiff. Huge driveway if you have your boat or ATVs and a fire pit out back. Definitely recommend if you're visiting the Escanaba area.
