Holiday rentals with a kayak in Clare County

Our 2nd stay was as great as the first. Will be back! Great hosts made the stay easy.

We enjoyed our stay at the lake with fishing and exploring the lakes in the paddle boat. The view of the water from the cottage and yard was picturesque and serene. While there are neighbors nearby, it was no issue at all. The neighbors were friendly and the overall area was peaceful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There is no AC, not a problem when we were there. Communication with Ruth was great. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

The house was well appointed and very comfortable. The host was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

This was such a nice little cottage. It was very clean and had many amenities for the guests. The outdoor space was well kept and had a great place to spend time outside. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and other amenities you wouldn’t think of. The bedrooms were clean and had storage options which is very helpful for a small cottage. The living room was set up well with a TV and several games to play too. The location is great with a short walk to the boat launch and a small beach area, and within driving distance of several towns and attractions. We were extremely happy with our stay and would recommend to others.

This was our first time using Air BNB and Carol’s home exceeded all of our expectations! She was super responsive to our questions. Check in and out was very easy. She had so many amenities that are often forgotten when staying the night away from home. Loved the location! Wish we had more time to spend here!

We had a great weekend spending it at the Captains Quarters! Host is very responsive and helpful to our call when needed. There isn't any AC so needing to keep the windows open at night was hard because we didn't want to be loud for the other cottages. Overall our experience was great and would come back to stay again.

Dan was a great host. Anything we needed he was overboard in helping us. Dan's rental was perfect for us. Easy to find and access the house. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking. Everything we needed for food or fun is in walking distance. Being able to see both lakes from the cabin was nice! We will definitely be back for more relaxation.

This cottage is adorable! We brought our dog & he felt right at home immediately. There was a dog feeding station preset. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the firepit was perfect for making our hobo pies and sandwiches! Our dog loved exploring the back yard and walking up and down the street. We also took him swimming at the State Park beach. The welcome book gave us plenty of good information. We stopped off and enjoyed Scooter's Airport Bar & Tippy Canoe as well. And we ate from the Pizza Bar at Trails End. We highly recommend this cabin!! Thanks, Hector!!

Perfect Rustic Getaway! Exactly what my family and I were looking for, a quiet and peaceful weekend away. Cabin is as described, Harrison and Clare are nice towns to shop around, with plenty of restaurant options. Would definitely stay again!

Cute little cabin! We had our first mini getaway with our four month old and we enjoyed hanging out on the patio and utilizing the full kitchen! Couch was great to lounge in as it felt brand new. We also used the propane grill which was a nice touch to utilize the outdoor amenities while we cooked lunch!

Our stay was shorter than we'd like since was business trip and only got to sleep there for the most part. But the time we spent was peaceful and refreshing would like to book again for a getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is for those looking for peace, tranquility and rest! The cabin is beautiful, perfect, just like the ones I saw in the movies when I was a child! The lake is beautiful, my husband had fun fishing and rowing the boat. I highly recommend it for spending some quality time.

The Airbnb was perfect for our mother, daughters weekend get away. It was clean and had everything we needed. The lake and outdoor spaces are very nice. Deanna was friendly and quick to respond. I highly recommend and would definitely book again.

My family and I very much enjoyed our Labor Day weekend at Debra's Cabin. The cabin is located in a quaint neighborhood on Long Lake. The privacy had us feeling as if we were "secluded up North". Debra welcomed me in person upon arrival and even offered to assist with my move in. I graciously declined as I was on a time constraint, but appreciated the offer. The Cabin was very clean with all described amenities in great working order; you could tell that she takes great care of this gem. The location was a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with family; we enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, reading a book in the sun on the dock and telling stories by the campfire. Furthermore, I was able to dock my fishing boat at the private dock and make use of the lake for fishing and recreational boat rides. This Cabin is a great value and well worth the stay. We will surely come back! Thank you Debra!

We enjoyed our stay it was a cozy place! Would def recommend for couples or adults/people with older kids. It was a little hard with little kids (6-2yr olds) just because I didn’t want them to mess anything up but it did fine:)

I stayed at Mariann's lake house for a month while working remotely. It was gorgeous. The lake is beautiful and remote. Mariann is an excellent host and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay, which was already provided in the house. I'd recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back!

This was our second stay at Cathy's Cabin. As always the cabin was clean and welcoming, just put the cooler contents in the fridge and begin enjoying the stay. I enjoy this lake. It reminds me very much of my grandparents lake cottage. Late May is still cool weather in Michigan and Cathy's brother made a special effort to get the pontoon boat ready for us. We enjoyed being out on the water and trying our hands at fishing. I caught a northern pike at the north end of the lake, Khi caught some small walleye right off the dock. For guests in the warmer weather there is every kind of summertime toys imaginable in the shed, kayaks etc... We would definitely look forward to returning to Cathy's Cabin again.

Our family felt so relaxed staying at the cabin! Everything was clean and we loved the decor! Views were great, everything was perfect for a weekend getaway with the family!

Mike was a kind host and the view was incredible. The lower deck was so relaxing with lots of chairs, shade and kayaks for adventure.

My family stayed here for a weekend in October while we visited some relatives in the area. We came in from out of state and the property was so nice. Hector was very communicative and responded right away to any questions. There was plenty of room in the house and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you may need. The beach and lake were amazing, and they have everything you can imagine. Our kids really enjoyed it, and loved fishing off the dock too. The space was clean and it fit our family nicely. I will say that the beds are not the most comfortable, but they were fine for the most part. The views were breathtaking, and it was very serene and quiet. We will definitely be staying here again!
