The Eagle and the Olive Tree

PatrickRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the absolute pleasure of spending three unforgettable days at Paolo and Monica’s 800-year-old farmhouse — and it was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The home itself is stunning: full of history, character, and comfort, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Each morning, Paolo and Monica prepared a beautiful, fresh breakfast spread complete with homemade cakes and warm, delicious options that started our days off with so much care and joy. The hospitality was truly beyond compare — Paolo and Monica are salt-of-the-earth people with hearts of gold. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting with the many animals they lovingly care for. From eagles and owls to donkeys, horses, peacocks, ducks, and sheep — it felt like something out of a storybook. Monica’s passion for rescuing and training animals is inspiring, and added such a special, personal touch to the experience. Thier home is filled with beauty, warmth, and heart. Coming back soon! ❤️❤️❤️

Unique & Historic Getaway: Dreamy Garden

DeirdreRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely home nestled in a tiny village. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and Marco left us fresh fruit, tomatoes, honey and wine. Marco also arranged rental bikes for us and made dinner reservations for us the first night. The rear garden has a large, comfortable table and chairs- our family particularly enjoyed this area. Highly recommended!

We fell in love with this mountain village and Gabriele's apartment. It is so cozy, beautiful and stylishly furnished and what is very important to me is that it was nice and cool 🙏🏽 The attention to detail also caught our eye. Mn immediately recognizes that Gabriele works as an architect. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the time very much We would definitely come back. Thx Thx

Country chic house in a village,private pool,wiFi

Lorenzo met us on the street to walk us to the villa and showed us everything with a very warm welcome! The views are breathtaking! We found the location to be an excellent base to visit all of the surrounding towns. Having Grazia Franchini (see the host’s guidebook) prepare and serve dinner for us in the villa after a fabulous day of Brunello wine tastings was such a treat! Would definitely return to the area and stay here again but next time will set aside a day just to relax by the pool!

Castello Montelifré

StephanieRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Our family of five had an absolutely wonderful stay at Niccoló's family's castle. His home is in one building of a 12th century (or earlier?) fortressed estate, complete with the ruins of the castle itself on a small hill overlooking the buildings of this small medieval village. Niccoló's home -- which his family has lived in for more than 700 years -- is nestled in the thick walls of the fortress; Niccoló, an architect, has lovingly, patiently, authentically renovated his ancestral home over the past twenty years. The family's history resounds throughout the spaces -- four gorgeous bedrooms overlooking the Tuscany countryside, a rustic kitchen with all amenities and a solid marble sink, a huge living room with high ceiling, rafters, and original paintings. The grounds include a garden for al fresco dinners, terraced olive grove, lemon trees growing in pots, and jacuzzis for sunset dips. This is a rustic home - not for those seeking sleek modernity. If I could give 10 stars, I would!
