Holiday rentals with lake access in Connecticut

We had a lovely stay for our 10th anniversary. The cabin had so much charm and we spent a lot of time by the lake. We also enjoyed farmers market and cute downtown of new Milford.

We had an absolute PERFECT stay here! First off- the house. This home is so charming in every way. We loved the way it’s decorated and laid out, and it’s so cozy, clean and beautiful. You are truly able to relax here. Also, the bed is extremely comfortable, the water pressure is great, and the A/C works very well. However, perhaps the best part of this house is the view! There are sliding doors in the living room and bedroom, and the view of the lake is breathtaking. The area is super safe and quiet, and you are in walking distance to downtown Niantic and the Boardwalk which you cannot beat! Also only about 20 minutes from Mystic. I cannot forget to mention how amazing our host, Katie, was! Super attentive and responsive with messaging, and she was even here doing yard work when we arrived so she greeted us which was such a nice touch. Overall, we will DEFINITELY be looking to stay here again! Loved every minute of it.

Great stay! Although it was a rainy weekend, we had a great weekend!! There were close restaurants and coffee shops and the house itself was perfect. Great aesthetic to the home, very cozy and relaxing.

Glenda was friendly and had great communication from Start to Finish. This was a nice location for a family fun weekend. Although the drive is close enough to stores if you need anything (target/stopnshop/bjs etc), the property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The yard is a great place to hang out and relax with the fire pit or have fun in the pool. And when the weather was crappy the pool table and hanging out in the basement den was nice. Everything in the house is labeled and easy to find. We enjoyed the space and would definitely recommend. Thanks again! 😊

Our stay here was amazing! So much attention to detail was put into every aspect of this home. It was spotless and very well maintained. We enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe. We never felt like something was missing and never had a hard time finding what we needed. It is such a quiet and peaceful area and we spent a lot of time just sitting by the water relaxing. We loved being able to have a fire right by the water as well. The downstairs game room/theatre was a blast as well. Overall I would 100% book a stay here in the future and highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at Peter's lake house from June 9th to the 12th. We found the home to be clean and bright, as well as spacious. The bed we slept in was comfortable with soft linens, and both bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels. It's a quiet neighborhood and although we didn't use the backyard, we found it to be private with a nice patio. The last minute tasks before check out were very basic. Peter was a great host, very welcoming and communicative. We felt right at home staying at his house and we would definitely book it again!

Our stay included spending family time in front of the fireplace watching Disney shows and with time spent enjoying meals around the cozy kitchen table. Enjoyed our stay very much and hope to go back one day

Margie’s place is an amazing hidden gem. The inside is very clean and comfortable. The outside is an experience of its own. The lake will drop your blood pressure immediately. Gorgeous surroundings. The dogs are friendly and lovable. We will be back! 👍🏼

The check-in process was so quick and easy! Roger was always quick to respond and ensured I had everything I needed!

Elisa’s place was perfect for what we needed. It was exactly like the photos inside, very cozy and welcoming! Elisa gave very clear directions to find the place and to park, although the parking lot ended up being very full and it could be difficult to find a space. We loved the place and if we ever came back would definitely stay again!

Jeri is a wonderful woman and host. The stay for my family of 4 was immaculate. Everything was clean, welcoming and homey. There were so many ammentities provided, it made our stay pleasant, easy, and super satisfactory!! Fresh eggs, cream, and butter at request. Plenty of towels, pillows, and extra sheets available! Washer and Dryer access and parking right next to the sliding doors for easy entry, loading and unloading was suuuuper convenient. All the coffee you want, if you're into that (I Am)! Plus she recommended some family friendly activities around the area which was very much appreciated. I can not say enough positive things, without using up all the characters provided to write this review; you will just have to go and see for yourself (: I recommend 100% - Thanks again to the wonderful hosts for providing a top notch stay during our trip to Conneticut. Great location. Close to everything. Clean and cute! We had some car issues and so got to the Airbnb late the first night where we then ran into a little hiccup with getting through the locks but everyone from the listing was so quick to help us despite the late night message. We appreciated it so much! Would definitely stay again if they’d have us!

Ana was a great host, firstly the apartment smelled AMAZING and it was nice and cool, she had toiletries laid out and the bed was comfortable. The ambiance of the apartment was very welcoming and homey. Will definitely be back, thank you for the hosting.

Ricardo’s place was truly incredible. It’s such a cozy, clean and convenient spot located in a very good area. Had everything you need and have a very home-like feel. I was visiting my girlfriend for our anniversary and the weather wasn’t the greatest outside but that didn’t bother us one bit. We were comfortable cooking and eating at home and we had everything to make that happen. Ricardo and his wife were so kind and flexible with us. We would love to come back in the summertime and fully enjoy their spot again because there are great views in the backyard by the water. Well worth the price of admission. The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for. It was cozy and comfy. I have already recommended this place to a few of my friends. Andrea was responsive with all the messages and it was great meeting her in person.

The Holly is a perfect vacation home. The surroundings are peaceful and the lake is right across the street. The house has so many amenities for guests, including stand up paddle boards. The house is also close to Colchester, Hebron and many good local restaurants. Everything was clean and well-maintained; we felt right at home. It was a huge plus for us that the house is dog-friendly. We really enjoyed our stay at the Holly!

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

Had a wonderful weekend. The accommodations were comfortable, welcoming, and spotless. Exactly as described and pictured. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We loved staying at this lakehouse! Our kids loved the bunk beds and we had everything we needed to make full breakfasts and dinners. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked and clean. The neighborhood is very peaceful and if you need anything, Westchester Market is only 5 minutes away. If you visit the market and run into Kurly (you'll know him when you see him), you'll get lots of local recommendations and an entertaining conversation. Doreen is a wonderful host and gave us lots of recommendations for local restaurants, all of which were great. We stayed here for a week and highly recommend this cottage.

Jane really is a Super host of the cutest cottage ever!! Not only has the cottage exactly as described, it was super clean!! We have never been really comfortable staying at an Airbnb until now!! This cottage and Jane really made our stay one of the best visits to this area we have ever had! We can not recommend this cottage enough! We miss it already and are looking forward to our visit!!
