Cabin holiday rentals in Cookson

We stayed for 4 nights for my son and daughter in laws wedding. It was really nice having The Lodge right next to the venue. Beautiful place and location. Only real issue was the down stairs air conditioning worked just so so. Temps were approx. 80 degrees so not bad at all. Up stairs worked excellent. Other than that, the home is beautiful, very comfortable and communication was excellent. Thanks Rebekah, Rick

This is a gorgeous property and a great place to hang out with family and friends. My family and I stayed in this property after my graduation for couple of days and enjoyed the beautiful property and the game room set up a lot. My nephew never left the game room expect for going upstairs to sleep in the bunk beds or making s’more at the fire pit. My niece spent sometime in the living room watching Coco Melon and kids never fought over watching TV during our stay, since there are multiple ones in the property. The owners even left us complimentary s’more ingredients which made everyone’s day. We got to do some water activities since the property’s location is very close to the lake. The owners are very proactive in terms of reaching out to make the check in and check out process as smooth as possible. We had a wonderful time and made lots of good memories.

Dana was amazing and the cabin was perfect I would recommend any of Dana's property's to everyone I know. So relaxing!!!

What a beautiful location right on the river! Roxxy, my pup, and I enjoyed our stay so much! It’s so tranquil and soothing. We loved our peaceful walks, splashing in the river, and the tall, beautiful trees. The cabin is very clean and comfortable, with lots of extras. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

A wonderful little cabin as advertised. Greatly enjoyed the guided walk to the creek and made new friends from the house next door. A very peaceful space worth the investment. I extended my stay-- twice!

Tom was an amazing host! He was super helpful and extremely responsive if I had quick questions about anything! The cabin was very private and peaceful, and it was a very great getaway! I loved being surrounded by the trees and nature, but still close by to restaurants and the lake! I can't wait to stay here again for our next adventure! 💜

We rented for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary! When we checked into the rental, there was a beautiful box full of gifts and the most gorgeous flowers that were glued onto a wooden bouquet-just the most thoughtful hosts! Fully stocked kitchen (coffee pods, creamer, sugar, bottled water, stocked snack caddy, even had cookies waiting there for us!!) HUGE yet quiet microwave, each room has individual ac/heat controls & tons of cozy blankets and pillows, the scent of this house is phenomenal, tv has its own Netflix & Hulu already logged in,WiFi excellent, porch breathtaking&SO comfortable with plenty of seating &blankets, bathrooms FULLY stocked with everything (shampoo, conditioner, SEVERAL high end body washes, hair ties, q-tips, make up wipes… you name it) laundry area had everything needed..private DOG PARK provided with poop bags, huge bin of dog toys, tetherball & even a dog treat jar inside. WILL be coming back. Thank you for welcoming us with so much love &spoiling us!

Great home beautiful views everywhere. Great time was had by all! More than enough room for 7 adults and 4 children. Will stay again for sure!!

We absolutely adore the cabin and felt like it almost home away from home. The only complaint we had was that the dryer didn't work. We had a small load containing two pairs of shorts, two shirts and two sets of under garments and after three rounds in the dryer, it was still wet. The dryer had a horrible noise like rocks or marbles were spinning round so we didn't put it on a fourth round. We eventually put the outfits in a bag and made our trip with them wet. I did message Debbie letting her know, but it was a bit of an inconvenience just not a deal breaker to give any bad reviews. We greatly enjoyed our time at the cabin and will reserve again next time we need.

I had a wonderful stay at Cathy’s place! The home was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. Cathy was a kind and responsive host who made sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit. We had the best weekend staying at the cabin for our trip down the illinois River. This cabin was so comfortable and mire than we ever anticipated. We will be staying here again.

This place has plenty of room for everyone. The grandkids loved the dock. They enjoyed the floating mat, the kayaks and watching the fish at night. The sunsets from the dock are beautiful. We all enjoyed ourselves.

Had plenty of room for my family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The boat dock was easily accessible only a short drive away. Will definitely be returning!

Great place for fisherman. Room to park a boat and 5 minutes to chicken creek ramp. House very clean.
