Holiday rentals with a kayak in Costa del Sol Occidental

Great stay at Jess's place. He is extremely helpful and responsive. The accommodation is as described, lots of space and everything you'd need. Lovely quiet area. Beautiful surroundings. We were on a golf trip so for 4 people, each had their own room, and location is amazing. Great supermarkets and wine shops within 5 minutes' drive. Lots of restaurant choices if you want to eat out (would recommend Casabon (fairly high end, very good), and Inboca (high end Tapas I'd say, much more rustic and local feel). Jess organised taxis to get us there. Nothing was too much trouble. Even when our flight was delayed by 4 hours and we didn't arrive until 1am he was very understanding and his assistant was there to let us in and show us around! Golf-wise it is a perfect place to stay, 3 minutes to Valderrama, less than 10 mins to Sotogrande and La Reserva, 20 minutes to Finca. Offstreet parking so you can leave clubs in the car. Highly recommend. If we go to that area again this is where we'd stay.

Na een drukke en stressvolle periode vond ik hier precies wat ik nodig had: rust, ruimte en een plek om echt even op adem te komen. Twee weken lang heb ik genoten van deze fijne, rustige en veilige locatie. De tuin is een klein paradijs, met fruitbomen vol avocado’s, citroenen, mandarijnen en sinaasappels. De vrolijke kippen zorgen dagelijks voor verse eitjes, en er wordt zelfs biologische groente verbouwd en er is groeit zelf mint voor de thee. echt een heerlijke plek voor liefhebbers van natuur. De kamer is schoon en het bed slaapt goed dankzij een heerlijk matras. Er is een ruime koelkast, En in overleg: gastheer Robbie is niet alleen attent en behulpzaam, maar ook een geweldige kok! Zijn hamburgers zijn echt een aanrader.(op zondag zijn in Spanje de supermarkten dicht) Ook voor vragen betreft vervoer kan je bij hem terecht. De wifi-verbinding is uitstekend, wat het ook ideaal maakt om zelfs buiten in de tuin remote werken.

We spent one month in the house as a 12 people group, working remotely. The house is incredibly nice and even better than on the pictures. It's equipped with everything you need, kitchen wise, and elsewhere. The garden must have been designed by a landscape architect 20 years ago, and you look into the most beautiful mountainous landscape. Lots of nice hikes in the area. The WiFi was good enough to work and have calls. Lots of space for a big group.

Wir waren im April 2025 eine Woche in der Casa Hortensia. Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist fantastisch und ruhig gelegen. Die grosse Terrasse mit der traumhaften Aussicht auf die Bucht von La Herradura war das Highlight. Wir hatten eine Woche lang Sonnenschein und angenehme Temperaturen. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgerüstet. Einige Möbel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das störte uns aber keineswegs. Mark hat uns vor und während des Aufenthalts bestens betreut, die Kommunikation war stets sehr gut. Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist sehr günstig, der Autobahnanschluss zur A-7 ist überraschend nah, man hört die Autobahn im Ferienhaus aber nicht. Mit dem Mietauto haben wir einige Ausflüge gemacht. Dieser Urlaub hat uns allen sehr gefallen und wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen, in der Casa Hortensia wieder einmal Urlaub zu machen.

La casa es muy bonita, está decorada con mucho gusto, está limpia y tiene de todo y más de lo que se necesita para pasar una estancia agradable. Paul y Emma han sido encantadores, nos han ayudado en todo lo que han podido, unos anfitriones de 10!!! Sin duda recomendamos este alojamiento al 100%. La casa de Paulo es genial, todo muy limpio y el es amable, atento y flexible, es una zona muy tranquila y bastante bonita con la única salvedad que el ayuntamiento la tiene descuidada.

Ontzettend fijn en sfeervol huis op een hele mooie rustige locatie. Groot en fijn zwembad. Sfeervol aangelegde tuin met mooie en gezellige terrassen om te zitten. Keuken is uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt. Elin reageerde ontzettend snel op vragen. Zeer flexibel met in- en uitchecken. We hebben een hele fijne week gehad met ons gezin in Brisas del Cielo.

La casa está muy limpia,las camas y almohadas super cómodas, muy acogedor, la cocina perfecta para pasar unos días. Miguel ha sido encantador,nos tenía programado el aire caliente para cuando llegásemos estuviera todo calentito, todo un detalle por su parte, muy atento con nosotras y todo perfecto,lo recomiendo 100%

Diego is one of the best hosts I’ve worked with on Airbnb! He allowed a very flexible check in, he is wonderfully communicative and friendly, and very energetic. His country home is a labor of love, and perfect for a family to stay. Unique experience about 10 minutes outside Setenil de las Bodegas, as he has chickens, turtles, turkeys, and all manner of produce growing. The showers were hot, the beds comfortable, and the kitchens well stocked. Great outdoor spaces for relaxing. The one thing is about the third bedroom/loft; it is a VERY short ceiling, so our third couple (who are on the taller side) preferred to sleep on the sofa bed. Would certainly recommend Diego’s home to anyone and would return.

A mejorar: La limpieza de los utensilios de la cocina, vasos y platos estaban llenos de grasa. Eche de menos una lavadora que no es imprescindible, pero se hubiese agradecido. Algo, ya más personal un telescopio, hubiese sido increíble ya que con la vista y como se ven las estrellas sin contaminación lumínica la verdad que está súper guay el lugar. Sitio perfecto para desconectar, además de que mi perra se lo paso en grande hasta el camino del lago, muchísimas gracias a Julián por estar en contacto en cada momento, a María José por el recibimiento y resolverme las dudas y a Jose Antonio! Un sitio en el que repetir sin dudarlo y terminar de disfrutar de Malaga, el pueblo está a 3km con buenos restaurantes, carnicerías y de todo. Además, de que la playa está unos 40min que no está nada mal, al igual que hacia Ronda y otros pueblos a visitar. Nos vemos, un saludo!!!

Amazing place, photos didn’t do it justice. Host was great, responsive Great location - 10 mins walk to shop, 15 mins drive to beach.
