The North Transept

The North Transept is part of our converted Victorian Gothic church. We've done all the conversion ourselves - the high ceilings and beautiful Gothic windows make it a unique space. It's in a small hamlet in a beautiful hidden valley surrounded by fields; there's lovely walking from the door and lots of local wildlife including roe and muntjac deer, pheasants, red kites and owls. It's easy to get to a wide range of local attractions like Lacock and Avebury and only half an hour to Bath.

Welcome to Townsend Barn. The cottage is 5 mins from Devizes & easy to get to Bath, Avebury, Stonehenge, Longleat, Bristol and Salisbury. 𝗣𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝟭 𝗼𝗿 𝟮 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀. A light and airy spacious Shepherds hut set in a beautiful English garden adjacent to a paddock. Great for a couple wanting to get away for a short break in the countryside and ideal for visiting Stonehenge 15 mins. by car, Bath 50mins. and Salisbury 25 mins. A good stop over point for cyclists on the King Alfred’s way route. The friendly village of Tilshead is located at the heart of Salisbury Plain. Excellent Italian food available at the Rose and Crown Pub 50 yards walk away.

"Hares Rest" shepherd hut is situated in a private location within a paddock with amazing rural views. Hares, red kites, barn swallows and deer are just some of the wild life you can see. Good pubs within various walking distance (3, 30 and 45 mins). Bowood House, adventure park, golf course and spa is 5 mins drive away. The train station is a 10 minute drive with easy access to Bath. We have horses so only very well behaved dogs are allowed by prior agreement and additional charge.

Pigsty Cottage is a very spacious apartment within the grounds of a listed Georgian farmhouse, its a lovely private place to stay. Well equipped, with a top quality kingsize bed and secure parking. A Lovely rural location, stunning gardens. Great for visits to Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Amesbury and Devizes. We do allow a well behaved pet. If you’re planning on bringing a pet, we’d like to know in advance as we make some small changes to the furnishings accordingly.

The village has a well-stocked shop and a popular pub serving excellent meals.

Set in our lovely garden on a no through road, just outside of town. Well equipped kitchen and smart TV & WiFi Free off road parking. If you are into wild swimming or paddle boarding, we are 45 mins away from lake 32. Adults only, we are unable to cater for infants, children or pets.
