Holiday rentals with lake access in Crawford County

We stayed for a weekend with family and our fur babies and had an amazing time. Courtney let us check in earlier which was nice of her and we got to enjoy the water. The water was just as described crystal clear. House was super clean and cozy. We will definitely stay again next year.

It was my second time staying here and the creek out back is perfect to do some fishing in. Its nice and cozy, makes you feel right at home.

Super responsive and very friendly, accommodating host! Location was perfectly located in Higgins lake area. Walkable neighborhood and trails across the street. Cabin has everything you would want or need for up-north getaway. Nice furniture and tv to relax after a day on the lake.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. Alex was so kind from the start and communicated helpful information, giving detailed instructions and made it clear he was available for anything we needed whenever. We had a great stay and hope to come back and visit some day in the future. Thanks Alex for being such a great airbnb host, you go the extra mile and it shows :) you will regret NOT staying here, so make sure you book this one.

This home was the perfect spot for a quick weekend escape—peaceful, relaxing, and filled with great amenities. The view of the lake was beautiful, especially at sunrise, and made mornings feel extra special. Everything inside was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Communication with the host was excellent—clear, responsive, and helpful from start to finish. Overall, a great place to unwind and recharge.

Walking in through the front door, the living room looks like a house from a “House Beautiful “ magazine. It’s so welcoming and decorated so uniquely. The kitchen is so well stocked with utensils, bakeware and cookware. The beds were very comfortable. As were the recliners in the living room. The scenery out the back windows was by far the eye catcher. You look down the hill from the house over the lake. Hubby fished three times each day of our stay. We will definitely be back. It is a Golden Buzzer Airbnb.

We really enjoyed staying at Fawn’s place!! This was a top tier place! She thought of everything and provided so many extras like snacks, an assortment of drinks and even chocolates on the pillows. The decor was very well done and it was so clean and comfortable. It was a great spot to stay as we explored some of north Michigan. We slept well and the surroundings were very peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again without any hesitation. Fawn was quick to answer questions and help in any way. We enjoyed staying here very much!!

Very cozy and great location right next to Shanty Creek Resort Hotel and very easy to get downtown Bellaire. You can either catch a ride to Schuss on the free bus transportation from the resort or take a quick drive. Overall great place for a romantic get a way!

We had a great stay and would absolutely book again. The host was super accommodating, especially with our check-in time so we could make it to a friend’s wedding without stress. The space was perfect for a group—three separate rooms gave everyone privacy while still having common areas to hang out. Clean, comfortable, and well set up for a weekend with friends. Highly recommend!

Very nice rental, exactly as pictured. Location was perfect for skiing, tubing, indoor pool access, resort restaurants. Everything within minutes to Schuss Mountain, Shanty Creek or Bellaire (Short’s brewery). Very cozy space. Fireplace was great, comfortable seating/bed, coffee pods. Would definitely come back.

We had a little hiccup at the very beginning, however, Vicky was extremely responsive and immediately fixed the issue. Beds were soft and comfy overall a wonderful stay!

The place felt very homey from the moment we arrived—spotlessly clean, thoughtfully maintained, and equipped with a variety of amenities and activity options to suit different interests. The location is also ideal: close to downtown and the resort, making everything easily accessible. We highly recommend staying here and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Karen was an amazing host! Check in was extremely easy and the place was easy to find! Both Karen and Mark were so so friendly! My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed wandering through Karen's shop downstairs all while chatting with Karen the whole time. We felt like we've known her for years! She was so helpful while I was trying to find the perfect gift in her shop. The space we stayed in was perfect! It was cozy, comfortable and clean! The black out curtains were welcomed, as were the A/C's and fan! The furniture was comfortable and everything we needed for the weekend. Highly recommend to anyone, and we will definitely be back in the event we come back to that area. Zero complaints!

if you're looking for a place to stay I highly recommend the guest house! Cherie was wonderful and the house was close to a park for fishing and swimming. location was great in between Petoskey and traverse City. can't wait to come back and stay again

Ben was able to accommodate my last minute stay and I’m so appreciative! I was hoping to get away from the city and enjoy watching the lake with my partner and pup. We were obsessed with the sunroom, multiple board games/puzzle available, watching movies and just catching back up. The lake is still a bit chilly which worked for me because nobody else was out and about! It was such a peaceful, calming trip and I would definitely come back.

This is an amazing property with a remarkable view over the lake. It is a very tranquil location and it is easy to feel close to nature. The cabin is very well appointed and was perfect! The host was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall a five star property and experience. Highly recommended!

True North at Higgins Lake is a great find. It is immaculately clean with special touches like local art and a well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Beds and linens are nice like what you’d expect in a higher-end hotel. Just a short walk to the lovely Higgins Lake and a fire pit to enjoy s’mores. Natalie provides exceptional, unfussy instructions. We felt very comfortable there.

I enjoyed my stay. The property is beautiful and if you’re looking to get away and you’re in the area this is the place. No complaints!

Great little place on the lake. Convenient location to Main St and plenty of beautiful golf courses within a half hour drive! Great for a golf trip

This cottage was so cute & cozy, and was fully stocked with amenities. They had a full coffee bar, fun games to play inside, cornhole for outside, kayaks, paddle boards and a paddle boat, and so much more. We spent our whole time outside enjoying the beautiful scenery and quietness. It was so relaxing and I would definitely recommend staying here, to friends and family. Plus downtown Gaylord was only a 10 minute drive away!

**Review of Our Stay at Teresa's AirB&B** If I could rate this place a 10, I absolutely would! From the moment we booked Teresa's AirB&B, my expectations were exceeded. I anticipated a simple house, but what we found was a fully stocked home that made us feel truly welcomed—perhaps I even overpacked! The cleanliness of the property was impressive; it looked exactly as depicted in the photos. We enjoyed a variety of activities, including kayaking and cozy bonfires in the backyard, which added to our memorable experience. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the proximity to the lake, just a few minutes away, made our stay even more enjoyable. We even drove up to Leland Mi “fish town” Overall, My 35th birthday was awesome! we had an amazing time and are already planning our return.
