Cottage holiday rentals in Crooked Lake

We had a great stay! Our plan was to lie low for a long weekend and this was the perfect place to do that. The kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was amazing and the lake was so peaceful. Bonus that my dog was able to join us too!

Very clean, peaceful, beautiful place. A bit small for our family of 6, but perfect for a short stay, landing place if planning to be out a lot, or for a smaller family. Nice back yard area and hot tub. Kayaks were a wonderful treat. We saw a muskrat, turtles, and other wildlife.

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

The hosts went above and beyond to support our family during one of the most exciting and emotional times in our lives—the arrival of our child through adoption. With so many unknowns in our journey, they moved mountains to accommodate us, ensuring we had a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay, even with our shifting timelines and unique requests. The home itself is absolutely stunning—everything is brand new, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was such a treat. From the thoughtful design to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made our stay feel effortless and peaceful. We are already dreaming of returning in the summer to soak in the lake vibes and energy of Nettle Lake. We are beyond grateful for this experience and for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was beautiful, very clean, spacious and had all the amenities needed for our family trip. A brand-new renovated bathroom and large living room overlooking the lake were the highlights for us! The host was very responsive and flexible. We definitely recommend this rental and will be back for future trips!

Great little place near the lake! Very clean and I loved the modern decor; there is a lot of attention to detail. Great kitchen and we appreciated the Keurig coffee and complimentary bottle of wine. Beds were comfortable, linens were fresh!

What a nice, peaceful retreat to return to after a jam packed softball weekend! Super clean and very responsive hosts. We had a small issue and it was handled immediately. We would love to return someday! Thank you for sharing this cute little piece of paradise with us!

Second stay, always so nice!!

We booked last minute due to other plans falling through due to floods in Kentucky. Jo was amazing and got us booked quickly. The cottage was comfortable. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. We will be returning when it's warm. We had an enjoyable trip exploring Shipshewana. We read in the sunroom and loved relaxing with a beautiful view. Thank you Jo for hosting us!

David & Carol is very nice and very friendly! Always fast respond for any questions. House location has very quiet place. House is remodeled, has new deck and new outside furniture, also has new fridge, oven, washer and dryer. Everything is very clean and has everything what you need for stay there. I highly recommend this place. My family and our friends were very happy to be here. Thank you for your service!

Wonderful place to stay at for the weekend! We had gloomy weather, so we weren’t able to enjoy getting outdoors, but it was so peaceful so we just curled up with a good book! Make sure you check out nearby Dygert Nature Preserve! There was a break in the rain and we made good use of it by stretching our legs on this short hike!

this place was very quaint. very clean. Lake was snowy and frozen but beautiful! the indoor porch my favorite! easy check in and easy check out instructions, owner extremely nice. couldn't ask for a better stay! shipshewana only 15 mins away, a MUST SEE. Will be back when weather is better! Thank you for a great stay!
