You have a completely remodeled private space on the walk-out level of my home. Open floor plan, a carpeted bedroom with queen bed, a full-size memory foam sleeper sofa, a living room, mini-kitchen, laundry and bath. The mini-kitchen includes a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs. The desk, with woods view, is a perfect place to reflect, read, and write. The entire space is completely updated. Private entrance. Located in a quiet residential area of Dubuque. I live upstairs.

Situated alongside the Mississippi River, wildlife abounds in every season. With eagles nesting nearby, there is always something new to see from the beautiful sunrises, cruise ships passing by, and watching the commerce of the barges and railroad right out the front window! This home has been recently refurbished and sits at the edge of our 15 acres. We have 2 dogs and welcome well-behaved pets. The Lumber Yard Cottage is a cozy hidden retreat tucked away from the road. Within walking distance of all Mineral Point has to offer. Great restaurants on all sides of this property and wonderful shops are just up the road. The Cheese Trail and railroad museum are across the street. We really enjoyed staying in the historic downtown Shullsburg. There were 4 adults and a 1-year-old. This Airbnb is within two blocks of a great coffee shop (great drinks, breakfast foods, and decor), Shullsburg cheese shop, gift shops, grocery store, restaurants, visitor center and the Shullsburg Community Center. It was just 4 blocks from the Shullsburg park. It was perfect for our weekend where we celebrated my brothers 75th birthday. The place had a record player and many albums. We really enjoyed listening to a range of music as we relaxed in the spacious living/dining room with beautifully refinished floors. The only criticisms is the very small sink in the renovated bathroom. Not a showstopper but something to be aware of. We would definitely go back!

We stayed during a heat wave, but the AC kept things cool and calm. The place was quiet, private, and felt tucked away from everything. On the last night, a storm passed through, so we cooked a slow dinner, played overly intense Yahtzee, hit the sauna out of curiosity, then watched Love Island like clockwork. Lottie, our dog, loved it too; posted up on the dog bed, locked eyes with a squirrel, and took her job very seriously. A perfect little retreat. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Really enjoyed this space!! It was very thoughtfully appointed. Chris left a bag of ice and a case of water cold in the fridge, a nice touch, as it was sweltering. Took the kayak out, lots of herons, goslings, and pelicans, along with turtles. Beds were super comfortable, place was immaculate. Would definitely stay again, even tried to extend this stay, but it was booked.…

Stayed with my mother and sister-in-law for a short girl's trip. This is a lovely, clean house in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful screened deck where we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful summer weather. A short drive to Galena, IL for a day of shopping and exploring was covenient ... and it was equally nice to return to our quiet retreat at Brandon and Kasse's. All around a really fun and relaxing stay with very nice hosts.

We had wonderful stay this weekend in Dubuque. The restored barn and outdoor settings are even better than the pictures. It is clear a lot of time and care went into restoring the place for a comfortable and relaxing get away. Our hosts were accessible and great at communicating our arrival and check out.
