Cottage holiday rentals in Cumberland

We had a wonderful time at Deep Retreat. Very nice fenced yard with the fire pit where we spent a lot of time. The house is very cozy. Nice walkable peaceful neighborhood.

The cottage was exactly what we wanted for our family mountain getaway. We loved the Mountain View, hot tub and surrounding scenery. WiFi worked perfectly well. It had basically everything we needed. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the river because it flooded prior to the stay but that would have been icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this rental for a scenic outdoor WV getaway!

We had a great stay. The house is close to the ski mountains and communication with Andrew was smooth. Would recommend.

Triple Creek Cottage is truly an oasis! Our group enjoy the beautifully decorated living space, especially the reading reading room. Everything was clean, well maintained and looked just like it did online. The pet friendly aspect made it even better. Our group is excited to book with Meghan again in the near future.

This was our family's second time staying here and we intend to do so again next year if she'll have us again! look I am very tempted to NOT write a review because this is a bit of a hidden gem, but the host was excellent and deserves the visibility, even if it means it's harder for us in the future! location is great for hitting up Wisp and far enough away it still feels like a private retreat. really great host who has welcomed us into her cabin twice now! Washer and dryer were clutch w this trip with rain the first day! but we were able to dry out our gear and hit the slops and second day without issue!!!

a very cozy cottage that is much spacier than it appears in the pictures. Huge yard with a great fireplace and Great Lake views. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Phillip's cabin was wonderful. It was in a beautiful location, had easy access to Wisp resort (about 5 minutes driving), and was exactly as described in the description. Communication was smooth and we did not have any issues during our stay.

Really great home, walkable to Hidden Valley in ski boots carrying skis. The house was just as described in the listing and photos were spot on. We chose this house because of the kids room, and it was terrific. Five kids slept there, played card games there, and ate in their own area while parents were able to enjoy ourselves in the kitchen and dining area. The mud room was a big win. When I had a question, the hosts were super fast to respond. The house overlooks the lake and the kids had a great time playing in the surrounds. The house has a large deck and a fire pit, but we did not use them due to weather. One thing to note: the steepness of the driveway should not be underestimated. In winter it will require a four or all wheel drive. I drove it easily, but one family could not get up it, and the other slid the entire way down sideways. That being said, the owners were quick to salt and cinder as necessary, and the neighbor helped us by plowing. Cannot recommend enough!

Cozy space for our family of 5. My kids loved the ping pong table the most. It was convenient to the highway, grocery store, and other shops.

Lovely cottage! Perfect place for a busy mom to relax and recharge after the holidays. I am keeping this one on my favorites list for next time I need a get away, would love to come back. I felt well taken care of--like I was in a friend's home. Sitting on the couch with a cup of tea and reading a book was great, especially after a morning at the spa. Aaaaahhhh.

We had an amazing trip staying here! The pond was so nice to look out at - and the wood stove was so cozy. I would definitely recommend staying here!

If you are looking for a secluded little get-away with a great host, this is the spot. Unfortunately these reviews only allow 1000 characters otherwise I would write a novel of a review for Rachelle and The River House. I stayed for 6 weeks with my dog in April and May watching Spring bloom. How beautiful! I was able to float down the river, see wildlife, go fishing, get fresh free-range organic chicken eggs, eat outside in the fresh air, hangout with one of the neighbor dogs, watch hummingbirds, and enjoy fires at night in the firepit and more! They recently added Starlink for the internet wifi and it was blazing fast. It is perfect for working remotely (video calls) and streaming. The beds and pillows are comfy. The water is hot. The place is clean. Rachelle is a top-tier host and super friendly, considerate and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues and she resolved them ASAP. If you're not used to the buggy woods keep that in mind, especially during the warmer months.

We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

No surprises as the home matched the pictures & description quite well. Driveway was easy to find but a bit tricky entering & exiting but offering plenty of parking & privacy too. Outside setting offers plenty of opportunity for cooking, recreation & relaxation too.

Lovely cabin in a quiet, wooded, private neighborhood. We chose to drive to the community beach and park there (instead of walking due the steep hills) and spent hours letting the kids play and swim while we took turns stand up paddling. Takes 20-25 mins to drive to most restaurants and activities, but the scenery is gorgeous and there isn’t much traffic. We were grateful for the comfy beds and couches to rest upon after a long day of activities.

All around amazing place to stay. The weather didn't cooperate to spend time outdoors but the place was so cozy, we didn't mind being inside for our time there. Extremely clean and we'll stocked with everything you need. The creek in the back of the property is amazing!

I’ve stayed in the Brookie three times for fishing trips and loved every minute of it. The cabin has all of the basic creature comforts but retains a rustic feel that is perfectly suited for the surrounding environment. The location is a perfect jumping-off point for all of the wonderful fishing spots in the area, and the owner has great knowledge of the local streams. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for our family of 6 for our kids’ Spring break. Close proximity to everything we needed (hiking, lake, Wisp Resort, shopping). Aldon and Morgan were incredibly helpful and responsive.

Would highly recommend this place! It was so private and cozy and very well stocked. Lots of amenities and so close to town! It was a fantastic spot for a girls weekend.

Paola was and is an amazing host. We needed a last minute booking as our previous reservation had us stranded on the side of the road for 4+ hours. Paola was VERY responsive prior to booking the listing, during our stay, and after our stay. The communication was very much appreciated as we felt very well taken care of and in good hands. We received clear and complete instructions to check in as well as how to navigate the accommodation. I HIGHLY recommend closing Paola to host you. We were there during snowy conditions and Paola was very proactive in communicating the plans to make sure the driveway was cleared as well as even offering us groceries if needed.
