“While the Gypsy Caravan was a bit rustic, everything was exactly as promised and we had a great time! Nick was there to welcome us at check-in and told us about things to do in the area. He dropped back in to see us and let us know that the dolphins were in the cove and we should go out to see them. The kitchen in small but very functional and the shower was nice and warm. The bed, oh the bed... we had the best sleep EVER! Definitely worth recommending.”
Our Little Black Barn is a tiny house that is small but beautifully formed! It has stunning views over the Bay and is only minutes walk to the beach where dolphins surf the waves in summer and Yellow Eyed penguins nestle in the flax at the Petrified Forest.
“Had a lovely stay in Sheila's black barn. Spotlessly clean, nice new kitchen, comfy bed, laundry facilities. The location is stunning (but fairly remote), so perfect for those who love being surrounded by the great outdoors. I stayed in winter, so the sea was crashing (you can sit and watch the waves crashing into the rocks from the comfort of the barn) and the wind was howling. It was wonderfully atmospheric!”
Hi there and welcome to our brand new slice of heaven on the coast and on the doorstep of the Catlins Rainforest National Park. ‘Tiroroa’ is our barn style property, completed late 2019. It is perched on top of the hill overlooking the whole of Porpoise and Curio Bay sitting on its own hectare of land.
“Mark and Katherine's home is amazing. The views, the location and the solitude are all spectacular. I find photos for accommodation often up-sells the places quite a bit, but not here, the photos barely do the view and serenity justice! A great spot to stay when exploring the equally beautiful Catlins. Would stay again, actually would move in if I could!”
