The Beasley Backwater Retreat is located on beautiful Lake Eufaula, between the historic towns of Abbeville and Eufaula. The house, built as a vacation house by my grandparents in 1963, is pretty much vintage, with some more modern conveniences, such as microwave, dishwasher, HVAC, internet access, and a Keurig. Located on a peaceful area of the lake, with a private dock and nice neighbors, it's a great place to get away from town and create fond memories--it certainly has been for us! Enjoy!

The walls are decorated with charming antique farm decor, pulled from White Oak Pastures’ family history. The Post Oak House has two private bedrooms, each with a queen bed, making it perfect for two groups vacationing together. The living room contains a sleeper sofa, chairs for lounging, as well as a TV that gets Dish Network (one of the few on-farm accommodations with a TV!). This house does not have WiFi.

Not only is there everything you need right on site (and it’s beautiful), but there is so much to do so close by. Elaine had great suggestions and was so responsive. Georgia Shores is a lovely, clean, mostly quiet, cabin on the lake. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Overall, we had a nice time staying here. Things to note at no fault of the owner: being on a lake there are lots of flying critters. Bug spray may be your friend :) There are three dogs in a pen next door. Best to stay out of their line of sight for peace and quiet.

It was a great stay as always. We got married in Nubbintown in 2021 and like to make it back when we can and see all the updates of the venue. We also brought our toddler who loved running around the farm and seeing the horses. We also love how close they are to white oaks pastures…their food is always top notch. Overall, 10/10 and the perfect quiet get away that the fam needed!

Had a great time with the family! The neighborhood is very beautiful and peaceful. The pool is gorgeous and we spent a lot of time there. Tammy was very responsive and attentive. The ice maker didn't work for us, but we made do without. Overall it was fabulous!
