How Airbnb supports Community leaders
Our goal is to give you the tools and resources to help you lead your local Host Club. Here are some of the ways we support Community leaders:
1. Community Engagement Manager
Your main point of contact at Airbnb. They provide guidance, host regular office hours, help you plan local meetups and engage your Host Club.
2. Learning and development
Attend workshops throughout the year and access online resources in the Leaders Hub and in your weekly Toolkit emails.
3. Priority support
Get faster help from Airbnb Community Support when you have hosting-related questions or issues.
4. Exclusive badge
Highlight your role as a Community leader with a badge displayed on your Airbnb profile.
5. Leader summits
Connect with fellow Community Leaders at annual summits to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas and best practices, hear from Airbnb teams and celebrate the impact of our leader community.
6. Insider access
Represent your host community at listening sessions with Airbnb teams and attend preview events for upcoming product and policy updates.
7. Member gifting
Recognise active members by gifting Airbnb swag to a Host Club member each month.
8. Meetup promotion and funding
Get support from Airbnb to plan, promote and host meetups. You can also request funding to help bring your events to life.
Community leaders roles
Community leaders take on different volunteer roles to help their Host Club thrive. Here are the roles that support a strong and successful club.
1. Online group facilitator
Foster engagement and connection in your Host Club by posting weekly updates, conversation prompts and by actively guiding discussions to create a welcoming and respectful community.
2. Meetup Coordinator
Bring hosts together through in-person or virtual meetups that strengthen relationships, encourage shared learning and build a sense of community. Successful Host Clubs typically host four or more meetups each year.
3. Policy champion
Make a positive impact by organising civic initiatives and building partnerships that support local hosting and tourism. Host Clubs around the world contribute to their communities through volunteering and collaboration with local organisations.
