This pristinely preserved 1970s A-frame might be deep in the Alabama woods, but it feels straight out of vintage Big Bear, California: cedar-paneled walls, quirky light fixtures, chic-chalet vibes, a soaring free-standing fireplace and a glittering geometric pool ringed by towering pines. (Note: Pool season is late May to early October.) And as remote and transportive as this nearly 3-acre property feels, it’s a 15-minute drive to the historic Civil Rights sites of downtown Selma.

Rents for $250.00 a night House has security cameras and fenced in parking. Internet is provided, screened inside porch for relaxing.

Relax with the family at this peaceful cabin on McDowell Lake. Access to both the Lake and the Alabama River. Enjoy boating and fishing. Minutes from Cahaba Forever Wild hunting tract. Fifteen minutes from Selma. Grill, firepit and picnic table outside. Fishing is free to guests and a peddle boat is available to use in the Lake. Kitchen has a gas stove, refrigerator, coffee makers, microwave, dishes, pot and pans. Sheets and towels provided.
