Cabin holiday rentals in DeKalb County

This was place was amazing! The hot tub out back was wonderful. The kitchen had every gadget, pot and pan you could want. The shower was heavenly. And the view! We sat for hours on the porch. Such a great time. Loved our stay! Beautiful home! We had a Ford escape all wheel drive and we had no issues with the driveway If you go into Smithville eat at Aces. The atmosphere is small town but the food is better than I’ve had in some NYC Michelin restaurants. We had the crab cakes, the steak, and scallop. Amazing FOOD! Also definitely drive over to burgess falls state park. So peaceful and such a pretty trail!

Definitely enjoyed our stay here for spring break. Host was very responsive and left thorough instructions which made things easy to navigate. Absolutely amazing views of the lake, and the house was equally as beautiful. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a serene, quiet, and secluded stay.

Krysten’s cabin was wonderful, amazing area, very peaceful. Cabin was very clean organized, lots of space to put your own items in. Had everything we needed cooking wise, the hot tub was very clean! Sadly I did accidentally break a glass, Krysten responded when I notified her. She was very understanding and nice about it. She always responded quickly, and there was a nice little binder with things close by and some information about the surrounding area! We will definitely be coming back next year!

WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN: The house and surroundings had something beautiful to see everywhere you looked. The host left excellent directions and had a well appointed kitchen. There was not a spec of dust anywhere (including glassware that probably doesn’t get used too often)! It seemed clear that the host wanted the us to feel welcome and comfortable from the time we entered the door to the end of our visit.

Wonderful 2 night stay for our family of 6! Everyone loved the space, extra soft blankets, and the hot tub. Decor was beautiful, had everything we needed, and view was amazing! The kids enjoyed having their space in the loft, with a TV too! Had a great day hiking at Fall Creek Falls!

We enjoyed a wonderfully, relaxing long weekend at Anna’s cabin. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. Anna is very responsive to any questions. The house is lovely and very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The decor was stylish, the beds and couches were super comfortable, and the hot tub and game room were a blast. The kitchen amenities were much better than at other places we have stayed at before. The high quality toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice touch too! Our family of 5 was very comfortable here and would highly recommend!

Perfect for a quick little get away! Quiet and peaceful place to unplug and relax, especially in the hot tub. Blackstone, indoor gel fuel fireplace, fire pit, games, bathroom essentials and so much more provided. We will definitely be back!! Kassidy was a great host and very responsive with any questions/concerns.

We stayed for 4 months during the winter and really enjoyed our time at the cottage. We were looking for a peaceful & quiet getaway in nature and that’s exactly what we got. It was so comfy and relaxing. We loved having our morning coffee in the sunroom over looking the lake. Kitchen is well equipped, wifi was super fast, lots of TV channels. There’s no cell service, but with the fast wifi you didn’t really need it. We were sad to leave! Would definitely come back, and absolutely recommend Melissa’s place for anyone who wants a peaceful escape.

We had a great weekend visiting some family in the area! Enjoyed a sunset at the pavilion overlooking the lake. Quiet area!

Always a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! We have traveled here several times and would recommend it for anyone who wishes to have a relaxing place to rest their head!

The place was amazing and my stay was great. Tucked back just enough off the main road but close enough to various stores and restaurants. I stayed there for about 7 weeks and wish I could have stayed there longer

We were pleased with the rental based on the price. The location was off the beaten path and in a great location if you are in the area to chase waterfalls and hike.

Beautiful little cabin, Very responsive host, Secluded and quiet, definitely a rougher driveway and wouldn't recommend a low riding vehicle. Absolutely beautiful location.

We had a great time and Holly's place was just the right place for us. The cabin was great and the surrounding area was nice. There was a nice little park nearby where our grandson could play. We also walked to the lake and enjoyed the scenery. One of our sons had a dog and there was a nice backyard where it could romp and play. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin. We would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay at Seven Springs cabins! Having morning coffee with the cows in front was so peaceful. Small and adorable with everything you need. Recommend going to visit the trails and trolley shop in Rock Island. Perfect place to stay if attending a wedding at The Monroe on 4 fifteenth!

This was exactly what we needed. Beautiful setting. Peaceful. Comfortable night’s sleep. View from back porch was serene. Deer and turkey walking across the backyard. House well kept and well stocked. Very good instructions.
