Learn about the Bees With our knowledge and experience, we will provide you with initial Do's and Don'ts when working with the bees and their family. Suit up! We will provide the necessary Bee Suit's and gloves, please wear appropriate clothing it can get warm in these suits, also no open-toed shoes! Just getting comfortable Some of our guests are a little apprehensive, so we take the time to just let you get comfortable being around the Bees. Light the smoker and jump on in! This is where we get to see all of the workings of the Colony. We will explain all that is going on and if we are lucky we will spot the queen! Pictures with your new friends! We will provide plenty of opportunities for you to get up close and personal with your new family, and selfies are always required! Revel in the surrealism Take a moment and be proud of what you have learned, and just how close you have become to one of nature's true miracles. This unique hands-on experience is the best way to learn about the importance of honeybees! We will suit up and open up the hive to see how bees live, work, and produce honey. You will definitely leave with greater knowledge and understanding of our pollinator friends and the inner workings of a honeybee colony. ATTN: If you have a known allergy to bee, wasp, or yellow jacket venom, sadly you are prohibited from participating in this experience.
Chores N Tour- an interactive ranch experience for all ages
Chores N' Tour is a popular, hour long experience of feeding and caring for over 20+ farm animals! Alongside Shelley, a "natural" animal-keeping farmer, you'll discover a new way to care for animals using methods you may have never heard of before. Of all the animals on the ranch, half are rescued and Shelley will educate you on their stories and rehabilitation processes. Grab a selfie with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the "roll-over challenge" with Charlotte the pig and feed the jumping goats! Children can collect chicken eggs and as a added bonus, Shelley lets you tour any of the ranch's unique Airbnb's that are un-occupied. Chores N' Tour is an unforgettable glimpse into Shelley's own personal story of how the ranch went from a 20 year riding academy to current Airbnb "destination location" and glampground. This is a unique experience you're sure to remember for years to come! Chores N' Tour Details: This tour is enjoyed by ages 2 to 92. Babies are free, however need to be in a stroller/ baby carrier the entire experience. Children walking age & up will need to pay an admission. This tour is scooter/ wheelchair accessible with shady rest stops available Boots & sneakers are best for footwear (no open toes!) Young children need parent supervision at all times. Yoga Lesson on the Beach
A fun and informal way to experience the healing benefits of yoga and relax while at the beach. BEGINNERS WELCOME :) this class is for all levels. In this gentle flow class, we will breathe and stretch as we listen to the ocean and do postures on the sand. We will begin with breathing techniques and then move into a variety of poses that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This is the perfect way to start your morning at the beach. Relax, reduce stress, and increase strength and flexibility during this gentle yoga flow class. This class will introduce students to basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. With a focus on mindfulness and deep, gentle stretching, this practice will leave you feeling ready to conquer the rest of your day. If the thought of yoga has seemed intimidating in the past, this is the class for you. **No yoga mat needed, most students prefer a large beach towel or blanket** Don’t forget the SPF! :-) Please dress comfortably. Message me ahead of time if there are any injuries in your group so that I can accommodate modifications for poses into the practice :-)
Create Coastal Seaglass Art with a Cape May local
Learn to make one 10x12 framed resin art piece yourself with seaglass, beach glass and recycled glass, with shells & more harvested from the Delaware Bay! Resin seascape pictures often sell for $150 or more. Why not make your own and take home a memory! You will be greeted upon arrival to my Coastal Farmhouse-style home. While we wait for other guests to arrive, help yourself to complimentary light appetizers and pick out some shells to use in your project. You will receive detailed instructions on how to place the sand, seashells, crushed glass, seaglass and other items on your picture frame. You will then learn how to safely drizzle the resin over the entire picture to preserve it and make it shine. You will then add a few more items to your finish your piece. If you finish early, continue to enjoy the space and more light fare while the rest of the group finishes. Around certain holidays, you will have the option to make a seascape heart (Jan/Feb), Beachy tree (Dec) or Coastal wreath (Dec). Please note that you will NOT be able to take your piece home the same day since it must harden for at least 12 hours. Most pick up the next day or it can be mailed to you for an additional cost. It will fully harden after 3 days. Groups are welcomed, however since we are working with crushed glass and epoxy resin, only ages 14 and above can participate. BYOB.
Paint n' pet- Painting With Farm Animals Under The Oak Tree
Join Shelley under the big oak tree for a relaxing painting experience at the ranch! Not artistically inclined? That's okay! Shelley will walk you through each step and encourage your own personal style. The inspiration for our paintings comes from the animals all around us. A fuzzy alpaca with sweeping bangs across his forehead, or funny top-hat hens with crazy hair are all nearby to enjoy! This outdoor experience is typically held under the shady canopy of an old oak tree. The facility has a mini petting area that opens after all painting is done. Go ahead, take a stroll through to pet the animals, take a selfie with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, and expect to see a fainting goat, a Nigeran dwarf goat, a miniature horse, funny-looking chickens, a Peacock and a pig! Grazing in nearby pastures, are rescued ponies and a hairy Scottish Highland bull. This is a unique experience that ages 5- adult can enjoy. Plan to paint for 45 minutes to 1hr then see the animals on a tour.
Brush n' Bond- Grooming horses with Shelley
Brush N' Bond is the perfect opportunity to meet one of our rescued horses and have a hands-on experience of grooming a horse while you melt your own stress away. Did you know that engaging in an activity where you are not requiring a horse to actually perform for you is a release for them? It's a release from the demands, we push on horses, and instead, they get to simply enjoy us. Quiet time with just you, a horse, and a brush can communicate feelings of communal pleasantries that benefit both horse and human. For those just starting a relationship with a horse, this is a wonderful way to build a bond and understand basic safety around horses. Shelley will infuse some horse whispering into your session allowing you a deeper understanding of what horses want and need from us. Brush N' Bond Details: - These sessions are perfect for ages 6 - adult - This is an entire hour of grooming horses, ponies or miniature horses - No open-toed shoes/ sandals/flip-flops allowed. Sneakers and boots are best - Best to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, bug spray and water. - A bathroom is on-site - Please arrive to this experience on-time (not early) as you'll block the entrance gate for others.
Cape May Beach Yoga with Kelsy Open Group Class
Join Kelsy and others in this memorable group beach yoga class out by the ocean in beautiful Cape May, NJ. Enjoy the ease of coming to class whether walking, biking or driving to the beach because there is plenty of free bike and car parking (no meters down here - BONUS!). Walk out onto the beach at Pittsburgh Ave - beach entrance #4 - and I or one of my co-hosts will be there near the ocean. Bring a towel/blanket to use for the second half of class. We'll start the first half of class standing with our feet right in the sand. Getting to move and deepen our feet and toes in the sand helps us to feel grounded and stable. Then for the second half of class, we'll lower down and use our towels like mats but in a way so that we keep our feet off and our towels and ourselves from getting sandy. I love the sand, but don't want to be covered in it lol. You're encouraged throughout the class to do what feels good for you - whether you want to take more rests or go more advanced feel free to do so. This class is all about enjoying the beautiful location - on the sand with the ocean in front of us, the sky above us and the earth right below us. It's a time to slow down and listen to our bodies while we quiet our minds and let our hearts soar. I hope you join us!
Guided bicycle ride in Lewes and Rehoboth beaches
Take a bicycle tour of Lewes and Rehoboth. We will take the scenic route along the many bicycle trails. The tour can be tailored to your specific interests. See architecture from the first town in the first state, or see the beautiful Coastal beaches, or do it all! If you would like to visit a coffee shop, great restaurants, or tasty breweries, it all can be accomplished on this tour. Bring your own bikes or the tour guide can suggest bike rental locations. The guide is a nurse by day and an avid cyclist by night.
Discover Assateague with Mermaid Tasha
Meet a local mermaid right on the shores of Assateague Island! Plenty of opportunities for pictures to remember the time you saw a real mermaid on your trip to the beach! Mermaid Tasha will also tell you about the marine life off the coast of the island, including the namesake fish of her tail, the marlin! If you're lucky, you'll even see some of the wild horses that roam Assateague Island while learning about how they ended up on the island in the first place. Other things to note This experience is at the beach so please be prepared in clothing you don't mind getting wet, a towel, and any other beach items you may need. Kayaking from Kinsale
Leisurely tour the coves and secret spots of the Yeocomico River, a beautiful brackish off-shoot of the Potomac River in Virginia's Northern Neck. You'll begin with our fun crew at The Slips marina in Kinsale, who will provide a customized river route - wildlife, historic homes, private nooks and sandy beaches await! Dive into the history of the area and local lore with our team here before heading out. We'll launch your kayaks from the floating dock and send you off with all your picnic supplies - a blanket, speakers, drinks, local produce, and lunch fixings. Enjoy the afternoon on the Yeocomico River, exploring the historic spots and swimming stops. You'll setup your picnic at the nearby beach, a perfect place for taking in the views, exploring the clay cliffs and long sandbar. Head back to the marina at the end of your 3 hours, but you'll want to return often to float the Yeocomico, and enjoy this place like a local.

Sunset Cruise- Sailing on the River
Enjoy time on the water, propelled by the wind and soothed by the sound of waves lapping at the hull! Hop aboard our 36' sailboat and depart in the late afternoon, one hour prior to sunset. We will set sail and watch the sun dip below the horizon as you enjoy the glow of the Rappahannock River. There’s nothing for you to do except kick back and take in the serene beauty. Ask questions about the history of the area, and observe local wildlife. This is coastal living at its best! What to expect the day of… We meet at Carter’s Cove Marina in Weems, VA on the day of departure. All of our adventures begin with an introduction to the vessel, our beloved 36’ Columbia Galene, and a safety briefing. We depart from the marina and motor out of the harbor and into the Rappahannock River, where the sailing begins in earnest. We will return to the marina at dusk. What should I bring? Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from land climate. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone. You may chose to bring a small cooler with your beverage of choice. Over-consumption of alcohol is prohibited. This is a private charter, good for those who want to spend a fun, relaxing or romantic evening out on the breathtaking water. We aim to provide an atmosphere that allows for reflection and rejuvenation from busy life ashore.
Kayak Onancock Creek
Paddle with the authors of "Kayaking for Everyone." You'll meet us in our kayak shop at Onancock Wharf, located in the 1906 Steamboat Ticket Office, where once passengers embarked onto steamboats bound for Baltimore. In the present day, we'll outfit you in kayak gear while giving an introduction to the history of this 1680 Colonial port. After an on-land paddle school we'll launch kayaks from our floating dock onto the sheltered waters of Onancock Creek. On this leisurely, 2-hour paddle trip we'll peek into the backyards of historic homes dating to to the 1700s. Your guide will narrate the history of the region, from native peoples, through Capt. John Smith, schooner and steamboat days to the present. Along the way you'll learn about the ecology, plants, birds and shellfish of the Chesapeake Bay. Afterwards, step onto the adjacent outdoor dining deck of Mallards restaurant for lunch or a drink. Beginners and children welcome.** **Children's price is for under age 15 in a tandem with an accompanying adult paying full price. Other things to note We will be in contact with you if there are any weather issues. We do paddle in light rain, but not if there's lightning nearby. Please wear shoes that can get wet and drip-dry type shorts or pants. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat and a rainjacket just in case.

Onancock Creek, off the Chesapeake Bay, is one of the best hidden secrets for Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) for all abilities! Beginners will find the sheltered waters the perfect place to learn. First, we'll meet you in our paddling shop inside the historic 1906 Steamboat Ticket Office, where once passengers boarded steamboats bound for Baltimore. We'll outfit you with a life jacket a do a "paddle school" on the dock. Next, we'll launch from the floating dock behind our shop for on-water instruction and a tour of Onancock's historic homes from the water. Visit onancock.com for lodging and make a weekend of it with a kayak trip on the Chesapeake Bay or to a Barrier Island. Other activities from Onancock wharf include renting a bike, Onancock Sailing Adventures and the Tangier Island Ferry. We will start with some inspiration and a short history of street by looking at some well known street photographers and their work. From there, I will guide you through street walks on the boardwalk to show you different approaches to photographing people on the street and ways to look at light, technique, and even some portraiture.
