Thank you for looking at Windy Pines Suite. This spacious one bedroom/one bathroom suite has a large kitchen/living room; and is perfect for travelers. It is clean, comfortable, & uncluttered, a home away from home! It is surrounded by beautiful pines, in a safe neighborhood with accessible parking. Close by is the interstate with access to Iowa State Fair Grounds, and Downtown Des Moines. WP is attached to our home but it has its own separate outside entrance. Please send me any questions.

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Beautiful historic duplex house in the heart of woodland heights. Walking distance to downtown and next to Ingersoll avenue which is full of shops, bars, restaurants and more. Our place allows 2 parking spots on site with a side entrance to your upstairs Airbnb. The 800+ sq ft space includes a private kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and balcony with views of downtown. Picnic table and grassy area below balcony can be used on those nice Iowa days.

Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5, but will do everything possible to have it open well before and after those dates based on weather!), hot tub (year round). I stayed at Jill's place for a quick overnight trip near the airport, and it was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The check-in process was smooth, and Jill was proactive and welcoming. It made my travel stress-free, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I also got to meet their lovely cat, Minnie which was a bonus. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay near the airport!

After a long trip into Des Moines we easily found a parking place, and with the instructions pretty much just walked right into the apartment with no effort at all. The apartment was awesome! Simple retro furnishings combined with the industrial construction gave the place just the right vibe to relax in and just felt, 'right'. Any time I thought I needed something, I opened a cabinet or looked in a closet, and there it was. And the view of downtown... wow. Everything else - parking was easy and felt safe. The apartment was right there after coming in - no long walks. Just a short walk down the hill and across the beautiful bridge to downtown. Lots of night life and great food just a few blocks away, yet distant enough that no noise followed you home. Looking forward to the next time I can take Diego up on his hospitality! Cheers!

Let's just say that over the years I've had many rental properties and I also renovate properties and focus my heart & soul into detail for others , preparing properties for the public to view or utilize and this place was done 100% correctly! It can be challenging for me to find places to stay cuz I am pretty picky and I don't like a lot of obnoxious simulation after a long travel. I wanted something short travel distance, something simple where I could cook real food and fill up fuel before I head back to Minneapolis . This place was perfect for my 2 doggies who were very happily comfortable. This location is quiet , clean , convenient and fit our budget! We are impressed and have already been considering the next time we come back this will be the first place I will reserve! Jeff is on top of it! Best trip in a very long time ...
