Lovely Nepali Family-Homestay

We loved it! Hari picked up the bus and took it to his house in 10 minutes. Located in a quiet typical Nepalese residential area. The room is very nice and you feel like home. The bed cozy and big enough. Gita prepared us super delicious food-we were even able to learn something like you cook it. Hari speaks very good English and has told us a lot about the area and people...and also about the Chitwan National Park and the animals. Super exciting! He was Djungle Guide in the national park for many years and also showed us the places on the river where you can see animals well and safely. We could have stayed longer and would go right there again.

Mountain View Eco Farm is a wonderful place to rest, reset, reconnect, immerse in nature, swim, hike, peddle, learn about Nepali culture and eat the most amazing food. Govinda, Chetana and their son Siddhartha are a beautiful, generous, hospitable and loving family. They grow all organic produce and each meal is garden fresh prepared with care and love. And some help from cute cow Lakshmi. The best food I’ve had for a while! The view is the best in the area 🤩

We were a bit skeptical since it was a very rustic experience and the access was a bit of a hike, but it was all worth it! Firstly Jeeban was extremely helpful and responsive! The food he provided was tasty, affordable, healthy and very wholesome. The view was to die for specially early morning and sunset. The stay was modest yet very comfortable! He made us feel right at home and offered flexible check in and check out! Although we didn’t take the private access into the lake since it was a steep way down, once we hit the lake it very quickly became the highlight of our trip. You could get into the water, swim and chill, let jeeban know when you’ll be heading back 30 mins prior and he would keep warm meal ready. It’s was refreshing to be away from the touristy parts of Pokhara and soak in the underrated local ambience. I would definitely be coming back again at Jeebans. Worth every penny.

Next to home is the one line i can define my experience. frankly speaking just 2 days before going I was informed that room alloted to me was sold out to some one. But host was ready to make up for the blunder. He clearly informed me that the room allot to me is sold out and other alternative was not attached wash room But the wash room as per him was just adjacent to room. First day when I came to Nepal crossing border by road, he waited for me late till night for check in. When informed I was a Vegan, he ensured pure vegan was served to me that to from his kitchen at 10 in night. What more can I ask for!!! Every morning fruit was served, though it was not part of the deal. lovely Expereince

Sonam is a great host. And the lady who stays in the same area as the room was amazing and I think she is the biggest reason all the past users recommended this place. I felt she is like my mother. This place is clean and quiet - nice for isolate yourself from the busy life. Only thing I highly recommend to the host is adding extra heater during the winter time. Excepting this everyting was perfect and I will visit here again especially to meet the lady.

Umika, Lee, Unisha and Yogi’s stay is an excellent place to experience true Nepali life. The location is wonderful: a stunning view that stretches until the river. At the riverside you’ll be astonished by the mountain view. The house is at the end of the village street, but at the beginning of the acres of the village. Expect livelihood (especially in furtile season) animals, chatter, sounds of school buses filling the air. Tall people: watch out: the entrance door is a bit low. You will have your own toilet area. Shared shower indoors. We had an excellent time, since the family truly knows what hospitality means. We were delighted with our walks, games with the kids, relaxing and enjoying the lovely area. A big plus is the most kind dog in the world: lily!
