Picturesque Lake Ellesmere is across the road, with 50,000 birds at last count making it a bird watchers haven. Sitting in the Spa Pool watching the clear night sky and the thousands of Stars is always my highlight.

We were totally in love with the cottage during our stay - it was everything we needed it to be for a weekend away. Beautiful views and easy access. All the logistical stuff was simple and straight forward for us to work out. Stunning view of the mountains each morning while we had our coffee and comfortable seats out on the deck. Well lit and secure for when we came home after dark and the lock system on the external door was reassuring. Everything was thoughtful and the personal touches made it feel all the more special. Jim and Jen really thought of everything. We are already planning our next trip!

Jill's place is awesome. She is one of the hosts who just goes above and beyond ensuring the guests have a great time. The unit was super tidy and self contained - equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very good breakfast was provided as well (including bread, butter, jam, eggs, fruit, muesli) and she even left some sweet treats for us :-) just beware that the signal isn't the best, but we didn't mind at all. The location was perfect for our start towards Arthurs pass :-) Very much recommended and would definitely stay again :-)

I would say, this is the best AirBNB I had stay. The host is lovely and responsive. Top amenities, private and good surroundings. Feels like home. Zara, their cat also visiting us to say hello during our stay. If I ever coming back to NZ, I would looooveee to stay again. Thank you Sandra and Daryn - and not to forge, Zara ❤️

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this sunny little gem of a cottage. The hosts were lovely—easy to contact and quick to reply. The cottage itself is beautifully & carefully renovated with great attention to detail. It’s wonderfully sunny and the log fire was perfect for cozy evenings. Every little need has been thoughtfully anticipated, from clear instructions, to the laundry basket, pegs, and drying rack to cooking essentials like oil, milk, salt, and pepper. Even hot water bottles with covers were provided! The bed was really comfortable and the lovely new carpet was soft & cozy underfoot. We were blown away by the lovely gift basket and the beautiful happy wedding anniversary card. This cottage is truly a credit to Gary & Victoria who have really gone the extra mile, in every way, to make their place so special & inviting for guests. Highly recommended!

A beautiful place, we loved our stay there. Ali was lovely and we had the most amazing supplies in the fridge (and one of Ali’s home baked cakes!) on our arrival. We felt at home straight away. Would definitely like to stay there next time I’m over visiting my son. Loved it. Thank you Ali.
