Hardwood floors, porcelain tile (including a heated bathroom floor), leather furniture and a gas fireplace make the inside clean and relaxing. A spacious paved patio with plenty of seating and a charcoal grill make the outside just as enjoyable! Single night stays during peak season can be requested on a case by case basis. This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Relax with the whole family in this newly renovated retreat in woods on lake point. Sip coffee on second story patio with a nearly 360 view of the private lake, where you will see ducks and geese, as well the occasional bald eagle or swan. Enjoy a walk in the woods and don't be surprised to see deer out front. Fish the stocked lake off of our roughly 2,000 feet of shoreline. This country cabin is located on our 20 acre property, less than 10 minutes from Rend Lake, I 57 access, and public hunting land and within an hour of the Shawnee National Forest. Includes the use of kayaks, hammocks and a walking trail. Portable bow target use available upon request. Gas grill, firepit and firewood available. Outdoor outlet and spigot. Children welcome!

Thank you for checking out The Walnut House. It’s a roomy and comfortable 2 bed 1 bath house in the middle of town. Within walking distance are several restaurants, many local shops, two grocery stores - one with a great deli! The city park has a walking trail, shady picnic areas, a public pool, and tennis and paddleball courts will be completed soon. Come settle in and enjoy a quiet safe small town get-away!

We bring together the old with the new; utilizing stainless steel, brick, and wood to create a unique and comfortable place that feels like home!
