House holiday rentals in Dubuque

This is our 2nd time staying at James's beautiful Galena home. James thought of everything. All the kitchen appliances that you need to make your meals. Plenty of room for everyone. James was quick to respond and very helpful. We plan to stay here again.

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

Brian and Jonny were very responsive and communicative from beginning to end. It was a last minute trip and we were lucky to find a pet friendly place during the start of the summer season. The house was clean, cozy and close to walking trails. Although we did not take advantage of the outdoor grill or hot tub (they have a wood burning fireplace for the winter), we enjoyed the screened in porch and open concept layout of the house, as pictured in the profile. The house is situated between two other houses blocked somewhat by the trees. I would describe as semi-private where we could see their back patio/hot tub/fire pit and vice versa. But whatever your personal comfort level, you can’t beat the proximity to trails, Owners Club, and easy access to Hwy 20 to Galena! We enjoyed our stay and exploring!

We had such a great time! We took the whole family (10 people) and there was plenty of room. The basement was great for keeping the kids entertained. They were wore out from playing video games, air hockey, basketball, and hot rubbing. The area has beautiful views, and feels very private even though there are houses close buy - which we prefer just in case we would need help. We all wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had the absolute best time at The Treehouse. It was truly one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect home for a family getaway. The house had everything we could have possibly needed for comfort, fun, and quality time together. It was sparkling clean, beautifully maintained, and the views were just breathtaking. Our hosts were wonderful. They were so kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We especially loved relaxing by the fire pit, unwinding in the hot tub, and enjoying the peaceful screened-in porch. It was the perfect balance of cozy and fun! Beyond the amazing home itself, Galena had so much to offer. We had a great time exploring the town, dining at local restaurants, shopping, and just soaking in the charm of the area. We’re so grateful for our stay at The Treehouse and can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already hoping to return for another family gathering next year!

We had a great stay at the cabin for my brother’s bachelor party weekend. We played 2 golf courses, ate at one of the resort restaurants, and went downtown for dinner one night. It’s a 2 minute drive to the courses and 10 minutes to downtown. Great location that sat on one of the par 4s.

Joel’s place was absolutely beautiful! It was secluded and peaceful but also very close to down town. I loved drinking my coffee outside in the mornings it was so peaceful! I’d recommend Joel’s air bnb to anyone wanting to travel to galena. I’d go back in a heartbeat! Joel was a great host. He gave us all the information and checked In on us throughout our stay. We had a great time!

Incredible host, beautifully furnished house, and so clean- felt like we were the first to visit. The thoughtful treats and coffee from local shops were a fun surprise. Everything down to the smallest details has been thought of and we felt right at home. Highly recommend.

I was there for 2 days and something came up where I had to check in early. Kevin was very helpful and let us come in earlier. The house was spotless and very clean when we arrived. It was in a great location with lots to do. Overall, more than satisfied with my time here and would recommend it to anybody. I will definitely come back when I am in town.

Meg's place was a very comfortable and a great place to work from for the week while my son was a day camper at Loras Sports Camp. The house was a quaint old home, nicely remodeled, with a comfortable work-space and all the necessary amenities to make it easy to settle in for a productive week. Appreciated Meg's extra touches of fresh cut flowers and a binder of information with local recommendations!

Needed a home base for the weekend of a funeral, which happened to be at the cemetery across the street. Quiet neighborhood. Really walkable, which was great with our dog. With the heat advisory, we were walking her really early in the day and really late at night and never once felt unsafe. House was honestly just as good as we expected, somehow even more. Really unique and really cute. Plenty of space for us all to spread out and do our own thing or break off into little groups to do various things - but easy to all be together, too. I was put in charge of finding the Airbnb and this one was so good that everybody is making it my job for now on. Definitely recommend the stay and if we’re ever back in Dubuque, I’d definitely stay here again. Good recommendations and appreciate all the work they put into the house.

This is a cute little house in a nice neighborhood not too far from downtown. The decor was great and seemed like a lot of it was original to the house (or at least original to the house in the 70s) which made it a little funky (the stove needed lighting with a lighter, for instance) but just added to the charm. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed! If anyone else is worried by the earlier commenter who mentioned it needed a coffee maker: they have one! It's just in the cupboard. We had a great stay!

We have stayed at Ashley’s place multiple times now and will continue to do so. It is always clean and welcoming. Ashley provides so many extra touches that go above and beyond traditional hospitality. She is always working to continually improve the home and my family, from the dog to the toddler, always feel at home.

Ken was very proactive and was clear with all instructions. He answered messages very quickly and professionally. The house was clean and comfortable. It had all of the important stuff for a comfortable stay and we had everything we needed. We didn’t use the washer and dryer but this would be a great place for an extended stay. There were also walkable restaurants and shops. It was quiet where we stayed and we felt safe. Really excellent place and we would book again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay! The home was very clean and cozy, we felt right at home. The views of Dubuque are outstanding. The location was easy, almost everything we did was within 10-15 minutes. This was one of my favorite stays we've had, will definitely be back@

The house was beautiful! It was also in a great location for our needs. We would definitely stay there again.

My immediate family was looking for a location near Asbury for a extended family event and this location was excellent. It was easy to get to, plenty of privacy and quiet for our family. The house had a lot of space for my adult children and there two young boys. Having three living spaces to spread out was ideal. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. I just wish we could have spent more time to there. Mark was responded quickly to any messages we sent and were thankful that this house was available. I think anyone coming to town for the Dubuque County Fair would love the location.

Home was exactly what we needed for our family vacation and location was perfect. We were very happy with our stay.

This was a great place to stay for the weekend - clean and cozy! The King size bed was really comfortable - just the right firmness for me. Beautiful out back, just wish there was a deck to sit and relax outside. The bathroom is a great size - lots of room to get ready. The only other wish list item that would be a great addition would be a full lenghth mirror in each bedroom. Really enjoyed our stay!

Gary’s place truly felt like home! We were in town for our son’s baseball tournament and this place was perfect for our needs. The house was clean, organized, spacious and comfortable. The keypad made it super smooth and easy to come and go. We were within 5-10 minutes of everywhere we wanted and needed to be while in Dubuque. To top it off, Gary was proactive in offering and accommodating a late checkout when he learned our son’s games were later afternoon on our day of departure. I can’t say enough good things - thanks for a perfect stay, Gary! We will definitely book again if we’re ever back in Dubuque :)

This is an outstanding place to stay! The house has all the amenities as described. It was in a great location, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting family. All the appliances are new! Both indoor and back yard were great settings to relax and enjoy!

If I could rate higher I would!!! I grew up in Dubuque and was never lucky enough to stay on this iconic street overlooking the city of Dubuque and the mighty Mississippi. Everyone in family loved it - fantastic space - one master suite and other bedrooms super lovely. Brian was so accommodating and steps up were no issue at all even for my 84 year old aunt!!! It's walkable to downtown Dubuque where there are restaurants, coffee shops and the famous 4th street elevator. If you are looking for a truly unique stay that would be hard to find anywhere else you will not be disappointed!!!
