The cabin is a destination all on its own. Fish from the pier or banks on the privately managed eight-acre lake. There is a john boat which is quite old, uses paddles, and is in fair shape (feel free to bring your canoe or john boat.). A paddleboat and paddleboard are available for guest use and swimming. Enjoy walking the property and visit the onsite hoop house and orchard for free seasonal fruits and vegetables. Have fun by the outside fire pit roasting marshmallows with friends and family!

The home overlooks the park at the Veterans Affairs campus that has a public walking/jogging track. The track winds through to the University of Alabama's Arboretum. We loved our stay at the tiny house! It was easy to find with Madeleine's directions, and very convenient from Tuscaloosa. The house itself is a wonderful little gem, cozy and comfy for those looking to unwind. While the location does have neighbors, it still manages to feel private. The porch overlooking the water was our favorite thing. Absolutely peaceful and great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening. Would 100% book and stay here again!
