The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

The magic of the rainforest and the privacy it offers is what draws you down the driveway, then leads you up to the elevated position where this gorgeous timber home awaits. There are 4 bedrooms all opening onto the front timber deck, overlooking the pool and rainforest! Fully air-conditioned. Please enjoy our homage to the history of beach-style hideaway, reminiscent of the 1950's in tropical Far North Queensland. We are close to many well known National Parks rainforest walks and Etty Bay which is a Qld Surf Life Saving patrolled beach with a stinger enclosure.

Enjoy the peace and quiet, abundant wildlife and various walking tracks on our 20ha property adjacent to World Heritage Forest. A great central place to explore the beautiful Tablelands. Most guests wished they could have stayed longer so consider to stay an extra night.
