Family-friendly holiday rentals in Edam-Volendam

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

Irma was een vriendelijke geinteresseerde host, makkelijk in contact. Heerlijke plek, het was net iets te koud om buiten te kunnen zitten maar naast de pipowagen staat een kas waar het fijn zitten is en heerlijk qua temperatuur. Gezellig ingericht, alles prima in orde en zeker aan te raden!

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit den Fahrrädern konnte man die nahe gelegene Metrostation gut erreichen und wir haben eine gute Zeit in Amsterdam gehabt. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft für Amsterdam Aufenthalte sehr empfehlen.

Diese Jurte und alles drum herum ist so unglaublich wundervoll! Die Gastgeber sind super herzlich und toll, wir hatten 100% Privatsphäre und trotzdem das Gefühl es ist immer jemand da der sich kümmert. Die Umgebung bietet viel Ruhe, man kann super abschalten und den ganzen Tag den Tieren um einen herum zuschauen und Nachts den Sternen. Und wenn man etwas mehr Action braucht gibt es Fahrräder die man packen kann um die Gegend und das Meer zu erkunden. Die Jurte hat alles was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Spiele, Plattenspieler, eine hammer Küche, sauberes und luxuriöses Bad und Dusche, super viele chill Möglichkeiten innen ind außen und der private HotTup auf der Terrasse macht alles schon fast zu perfekt. Wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen es war einfach ganz ganz toll!! Vielen Dank :)

Schöne Unterkunft für eine große Gruppe von Freunden! Gerne wieder.

我们团队一行6人，商务行后旅行经过一晚，1、房屋主人主动沟通确认到达时间，原计划8:30到，实际到达要9:30-10点了，提前1小时通知，房东非常有耐心； 2、房子里有树屋和秋千； 3、方便停车🅿️； 4、周围2.5KM有大海和海滩，沙滩上有贝壳🐚，很适合散步看海踩沙滩🏖️；

We had a wonderful holiday in Moniek’s beautiful house. We were so comfortable and relaxed as Moniek provided everything we could need. There were lots of lovely, stylish extras in her house too that made our stay feel special. The neighbourhood is great; quiet, peaceful and full of beautiful views of boats, beaches parks, nature and water. Yet there is also loads to do with teenagers, being so close to Amsterdam, Ajax and Delft. Almere is the perfect place to explore by cycling. The week went so quickly. Moniek was very helpful in giving useful and detailed info and in answering questions quickly. I would 100% highly recommend this AirBnB to others.

Alles prima in orde

We really loved this place! It was a perfect balance to be in a quieter part of Amsterdam within such easy access of outdoor activities to balance with the city tourism. It was so simple and fast to get to city center. It was also extremely helpful to have the bikes and kayaks, we really made use of them. Fred gave the clearest instructions for finding the place and navigating the city that I've ever had and made our stay seamless! He was a great host!

Excellent voyage chez Taco. Tout correspond à la description, l’arrivée se fait facilement le départ aussi. L’emplacement est top, pas loin des lieux d’intérêt de la ville et facile d’accès. N’hésitez pas à vous perdre dans le quartier de résidence il cache certains restaurants et cadre très sympa. Je recommande pour un voyage en groupe type EVG/EVJF.

Staying at Jussie’s apartment was incredible. Jussi is a great host and was friendly, accommodating, flexible and fast at responding to our messages and requests. Although the apartment looks more ‘lived-in” compared to the advertised photos, it is clean, comfortable and has a lovely homely feel to it. The apartment is located close to a lot of nice cafes and grocery shops, Jussi gave us some great recommendations for cafes/restaurants in the area too. We would highly recommend staying here!

Das Haus von Sophie ist sehr schön, der Garten und die Lage am Wasser sind einfach traumhaft. Es ist alles vorhanden was man im Urlaub braucht, sogar das Boot durften wir benutzen. Sophie ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, es hat alles wunderbar geklappt und war unkompliziert, danke dafür. Wir haben es genoßen und kommen gerne wieder.

We had a great stay here! Els was super responsive and easy to communicate with. She also kindly helped make sure we had a crib for our baby by borrowing one from a neighbor and had it all set up. The home is lovely and such a treat to stay in a place that feels full of love and care. Beautiful natural light. Really neat experience to stay here. Enjoyed the cats and fish too - easy to take care of them. Stairs are steep - was fine for our crew but something to be aware of. Would stay here again!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt auf diesem schönen Hausboot! Die Lage ist perfekt – in der Nähe von Restaurants, Geschäften und nur ein kurzer Spaziergang bis zum Meer. Das Boot war mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten. Der Gastgeber war freundlich, gut erreichbar und immer hilfsbereit. Wir würden auf jeden Fall gerne wiederkommen!

Super Unterkunft und super Gastgeber . Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß sind haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war mit dem Boot erreichbar und wir konnten mit dem Boot einkaufen fahren. Es war ein echtes Abenteuer. Der Unterkunft sowie der Pool war sauber. Hat alles gepasst für uns ☀️

We had some lovely days in the bungalow, the camp site has lots to do for kids, and the beach is beautiful. Good place for 4 adults and 2 kids in the bunk bed. Will come back

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Leuke, mooi onderhouden, gemoedelijke camping. De hosts zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goede locatie, dichtbij het strand.

Marcel war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön mit einem großen Garten. Die Abende konnte man draußen gut am Lagerfeuer und im Whirlpool verbringen. Perfekter Ort zum entspannen.

This was a real special find! The 3 days we spent in Zeewold were amazing. We had a group of 10 friends, and we had a great time at this unique mansion. Everything was ready for us, the house is fantastic, the surroundings are very unique, the place is comfortable, quiet, with lots of home feelings. We were able to cook inside, ride the boat, play in the garden. We were a bit apprehensible because we were organizing this for a large group, with people coming from many countries, and we had never been to Zeewold before. Yet, the hosts helped out with clear information and sending all the details we needed. Not related to the house itself, but the Asian restaurant nearby is amazing (very recommended) and the city is close by for dinner, online orders and shopping. Two things we heard from people in the group: "when we came back next year..." and "this house is already our house, let's reserve it now!" So, looks like we will be back next year! Thank you!

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

Evelien was wonderful, kind and helpful. The apartment was just as it was described and the pictures are what you enter as well! Perfect apartment for us and our little girl 15 months old. the bed was soooo comfortable! the apartment was clean and well looked after. we didn't hear any noise apart, it was incredibly peaceful.
