Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Bus stop 50m away, route 42 runs approx. every 15 min. Close to the mountains and the sea. Great surroundings to experience nature, mountain hikes and the northern lights.

Here you will find ski slopes and mountain tours nearby. The apartment is approx. 30 sqm, has its own entrance, 1 bedroom, private bathroom and living room and a lovely kitchen. There are good bus connections and 500 meters to the grocery store.

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km). This is a perfect location for those searching for a true Arctic experience, as the house is located at the main hub of Kvaløya. Dog and Reindeer sleddings are close by (3km). It is truly is the perfect place to appreciate northern Norway.
