Cottage by the creek

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on 8.5 acres with wood fire and queen bed. Rest by the beautiful sound of a year-round running creek and birdsong. The cottage is on a dead-end dirt road and due to the remoteness, is only accessible via car. No public transport is available. A short 15 minute drive to Healesville so easy access to delicious food, wineries and the Yarra Valley. We live in the neighbouring house and available at anytime but far enough away for complete privacy.

Riverwood cottage, accessible accommodation

This beautiful cottage was built in 1916, and is rich in local history as it was part of a larger property used by MacRobertson chocolate company for timber production of wooden casks to hold maize syrup. This historical cottage situated on the Yarra river flats has been lovingly restored to accomodate guests requiring wheelchairs and the non-ambulatory. The property is just 3 minutes from central Warburton which allows visitors to enjoy all that the amazing Upper Yarra Valley has to offer.

Your home is nestled up high amongst the eucalyptus trees in a remarkable location with breathtaking water front views. A 270m walking track leads you down to your own private jetty where you can tie up your vessel. There is an all-wheel drive dirt road that also leads down to your jetty. This property sleeps 8, however there is a delux fold-out bed. This is where your dream vacation begins.

This home is situated in close proximity to Eildon. The floor to ceiling windows and large deck offer majestic views of the Lake and the surrounding mountains. The house is a perfect set up for a large family or group. The home has six bedrooms, with eight beds spread over two levels with three upstairs and three downstairs. Each level is seperate to the other. Each level has its own fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and numerous cooking utensils and equipment.
