Cottage holiday rentals in Ellingham

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Fabulous! We had 6 days at the Old Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are brilliant and the accommodation equally brilliant too. Peaceful location, well kept gardens, lovely hot tub and there was everything we needed at the accommodation. The hosts also left us some lovely surprises/treats too. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to come home and we will be back again in future. Thank you Sue and Phil!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this property. The local surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice addition and communication with our host was excellent from start to finish. I would happily recommend a stay here :)

We were in Hayton for a family wedding, so this was the perfect place for the weekend. Lovely cottage, really clean and well stocked and Rebecca's clear instructions meant it was easy to find. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks for hosting😊

Lovely peaceful stay - great for walking Hadrian's Wall. Everything we needed, comfy and nice to use the hot tub after a day walking.

A beautiful place to stay! Everything was clean and tidy. The area is lovely and quiet. The hot tub was really enjoyable and privacy was great for that. My dog really loved having a big secure garden to herself and of course enjoyed the lake. The Shanghai banquet (all you can eat) was great value if you don’t fancy cooking. Edinburgh isn’t too far for a day out. Lovely towns and villages nearby. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks Katie 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Kitty Carter. The location was perfect, not far off the A1 but far enough away for a lovely peaceful stay. We had beautiful views front and back. The highlight was watching the House Martins build a nest. We would definitely stay again . Thank you

We had a perfect stay at Findara, it was peaceful, spacious and beautifully decorated. The kids loved it and didn’t want to come home. We loved the open plan kitchen, living area where we could all be together but doing different things. The kids loved playing in the garden. It had everything we needed for our family of 6. Including extra bits all ready for our baby. We cant wait to go back!

Had a lovely week at the Apple Store. A really nice house with everything you need for a perfect stay. Everything lovely and clean and tidy with great linen and towels. A few pointers for other guests is the addition of a new decking area with comfortable outdoor seating. There is also a bottle recycling facility in Ellingham near the village pub. The pub is good and only a short walk. The peacocks are great fun and quite friendly. The wedding venue is right next door but it didn’t disturb our peaceful and very comfortable stay.

What a beautiful home Anna has prepared for her guests and the person who cares for it between lets is to be commended. Everything about our holiday here with a couple of friends was outstanding. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated - sofas and beds very comfortable. It is the best equipped home I have ever stayed in. It was spotless. The garden is peaceful and large. The Hot Tub was a real treat. We have just returned home and we both feel so relaxed. Because of its position it’s easy to get around and we had some lovely days out. Anna is great at communicating. We really felt at home and could have stayed there forever. Thank you Anna - you really deserve to be a SuperHost.

Beautiful cottage with high standard of decoration, appliances and a lovely garden. Ideal position for visiting coast whilst staying in peaceful countryside location.

Had a fantastic 3 night stay at Cloggy’s cottage and will definitely visit again. Cottage was immaculate and enjoyed the log burner to heat ourselves up after boat trips. Very tastefully decorated, welcome basket and fresh roses were a lovely touch. Host was very friendly and made lots of local recommendations for boat trips and restaurants. 10/10!!

We had a lovely week at Josh's place. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, particularly the bed and sofas. There was a bottle of milk in the fridge and some delicious biscuits waiting for us and tea, coffee etc in the cupboard. It is in a great location in the centre of Seahouses but in a quiet spot. The parking space is a welcome bonus, being directly outside the apartment. We will certainly be returning to Josh's place.
