La Bodega (the cellar) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a ground floor. The kitchen is equipped to cook your own simple meals (but not oven/microwave). The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable and simple stay. The apartment has views to the valley, a private terrace with amazing views and an independent entrance. You can also use the common areas and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Closest services are a bar/restaurant/swimming pool 10min by car, and shops, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, etc…20min by car.

Casa Morriña. House on the river in Ribeira Sacra

Morriña is a recently renovated house (2019) on the banks of the Miño River, where the water “breaks” against the house's porch. It features two exterior bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the river on the upper floor. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a dining area and a half bath, which opens onto the patio and the porch. Great attention has been paid to lighting and comfort. PLEASE NOTE: If you book only one night, there is a surcharge of €50.

Relax in Somiedo

Disconnect from the routine in this comfortable and relaxing little house. Our house is located within the Somiedo Natural Park, in the village of La Peral. The house has an open room that combines kitchen, living room and dining room and two double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds) and the bathroom with shower. Lots of possibilities for natural landscapes, excursions and trekking surround our warm stay. The small village is very cozy.

Each apartment is independent and has its own entrance from the plaza. The shared garden is located at the top of the house. Before booking, please note that we are in a small mountain village, far from towns and services. Access is via mountain roads. We don't have WiFi, and cell phone coverage is limited. Our dogs and chickens live in the Rectory, so we can only accept dogs that are sociable and used to being around other animals.
