Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Essex

Mark’s place is immaculate and very cozy. The woodwork is beautiful and there are many interesting and charming touches throughout. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. I noticed comments about the outside stairs in other reviews. We had no problem navigating the stairs and they are actually easier than they look. Mark was very gracious and flexible with checking in and out and being accessible. Overall it was a great experience.

The place was very spacious; it was even bigger than what the pictures made it seem. Great beds and pillows with crips linens. The kitchen was well equipped by AirBnB standards. The house is old so the hardwood floors do creak and the stairs are pretty steep (but safety handles available). Great communication with easy checkin and checkout. Overall great value and we had a wonderful stay!

The Bow house was a beautiful place and Jen was incredibly hospitable and responsive. This is an amazing place to come and get away from the noise. Everything was so clean and cozy. Would definitely come again!

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful home and would love to come back! It was spacious and had everything we needed for six adults and one baby. The scenery was stunning, and Maggie was very helpful and responsive. Amazing shower in the downstairs bathroom too!

Our recent stay with Stowe Mountain Rentals was the perfect way to spend a long weekend! It was conveniently located to downtown Stowe while far enough away to get the peace and tranquility from the mountains. The host was very proactive with restaurant and activity recommendations. The hotel staff were also great and made our stay very comfortable

Truly a great spot with all the small things you need to make it a special weekend. Craig and Terri had excellent communication and do everything to make you feel right at home. I’ve stayed at this place now three times and am already looking forward to being back!

Kim was a great host, very responsive and helpful while knowing when we needed our space/privacy. Even though there were others in the house during our stay, we never saw them. The space was a great value and close to Bolton and Stowe, and also UVM for a college visit. The pellet stove kept us warm while we hunkered down during the snowstorm day. Note that the house is at the end of a long, windy drive that can get icy in spots, so if snow is expected during your stay, you'll need AWD. No joke. The only things I might wish were different would be for there to be a microwave available in the rented space (there's one available in the kitchen but a separate one for renters would have been a nice convenience), for there to be an actual door to the climbing-wall bedroom instead of a curtain, and for the main bedroom mattress to be softer (it was quite firm).

Ai's place was just as described. We were impressed by the many extras, including a snack basket, toothbrushes and toothpaste, etc. The house was spotless! The location was perfect for our needs as we were visiting friends in the area. Very spacious, would work well for a group or a family with children as the house has multiple public spaces. Recommend!

Great location and a great stay! It was cozy, spacious, and had everything we needed. Easy drive to the slopes and local restaurants.

Great place and location. Super clean and well equipped kitchen. Easy walk to the Church Street Market, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The unit comes with a parking space which was great. Host responded quickly and provides lots of helpful information about Burlington. The only drawback for us was the noise from the street but given the location it was expected.

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

We had a great stay in Burlington at this space. The apartment was clean and exactly what we needed for our family of four. Walking distance to the water front and Church street. Would highly recommend August First bakery which is a block away. Host was responsive and accommodating.

Stayed here with my mom and aunt on our trip through Vermont. Alex was extremely friendly and responsive. We found a farm nearby (Wicked Bines Farm) where we got fresh sirloin for dinner and some fresh eggs for breakfast. The space felt big enough for us 3. The beds were very comfortable & the shower had great water pressure. The window in the bathroom wouldn’t opened but the bedrooms did so I opened those to air out the steam from the shower. The road can get a little noisy outside at times but I only noticed it while watching a movie downstairs, I didn’t hear it at all while trying to sleep. Loved this space, would stay here again. Thank you for everything!!

Great location! Easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and Church St. Dedicated parking, which is golden in Burlington! Adorable place and comfy as well.

Jonathan was an amazing host! The place was so clean, comfortable, lots of extra towels/linens. The kitchen was well stocked and immaculate. Lots of space to spread out with our group of friends. The master bedroom had a crib which was nice for our 1 year old. The only thing was the area was a bit sketchy…my brother-in-law’s handicap van got shot with a pellet gun by some dumb teens driving by. Smashed his whole side window which was not great. Police came out and took a report. Unfortunately, that could happen anywhere but I did feel a little unsafe after that. But the house itself was nice. Huge backyard. Would stay here again! Just wouldn’t park on the street lol.

Beautiful space for a lovely stay. Very clean and so comfortable full with great attention given to thought and focus to every detail and design. Great hosts for excellent communication. Perfect location for a delightful stay in Vermont.

We had a wonderful time and felt right at home!! Her place is SPOTLESS and cozy. Simone’s instructions to get there were perfect. Everything is well labeled (like which switches do what), USB ports on bedroom lamps., binder with check in/check out info. Couch is 10/10 for post-ski nap, beds and linens are super comfortable. Kitchen items look brand new. Shower pressure is also 10/10 There is a shuttle that takes you to the resort with a stop in this neighborhood (5-10 min walk), but uphill so with kids and ski gear we drove to resort each day (2-3 min drive). The houses in the neighborhood are spaced out so you don’t feel like you are right on top of someone but also aren’t completely secluded in the wilderness. We stayed Presidents’ Day weekend and skied Lincoln Peak. The lift lines moved quickly and didn’t feel overly crowded. This rental was priced higher than other rentals we considered, but based on pristine condition and ease of our stay it was worth it!!!

This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge is large and comfortable. It fullfills all the basics for a winter cross-country ski vacation and not far from Mount Mansfield for downhill skiing, and is as described. The General facility and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Fortunately we had the good fortune to have had very good weather - a bit on the cool side, but really good snow and the whole week the ski conditions were very good. A great place to gather.

As described, a very private master suite off a beautiful Trapp Lodge Villa, where you get the access to the resort property and Stowe while having your own private space away with amenities not in a hotel room like a fireplace, dining table, and full master bath. Bonus room downstairs with a second bathroom also doubles the size of the living space. JP was super accommodating, checking in / out was seamless and no hassle. We love visiting Stowe and usually stay at the Trapp Lodge itself, and this was an awesome new experience for us.

This was a GREAT stay for our UVM graduation weekend in Burlington! So close to everything and the space is just beautiful! We loved all of the art and decor and the whole house was impeccable, warm, and inviting! So many cute little nooks and crannies! The hosts were always quick to reply and so flexible with our changing needs! Their instructions for parking and check-in were clear and easy and made the experience very smooth. We had all of the amenities that we needed, and tons of towels which was appreciated! We are so glad that we chose this over booking standard hotel rooms so we could all hang out and relax together between activities! A WONDERFUL stay!!

Very nice home with great amenities. Great location to and from everything. Nicely distributed with space for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the home has plenty of towels etc. Overall it was a great place for weekend or longer. Maria was easy to communicate with and there were no issues.

My husband and I had an incredible time at the Villa! It was clean, instructions were always timely and clear. The house itself was beautifully decorated, and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. The surrounding forest was quiet and perfect for strolls. Lot's of privacy from neighbors and easily accessible from the main road. We also loved the welcome gifts 🎁 😊 I would absolutely stay here again. Be aware that there are wasps and bees, so if anyone in the party is allergic, they should be alert.

My 13 friends and I recently took a fall break trip to Adirondacks, and it was the most amazing, relaxing time thanks to Antoine’s beautiful airbnb. As soon as we walked in, we were brought into another world—with the most eclectic artwork and interior design—and yet still felt at home. Antoine was the most welcoming and responsive host we could have possibly gotten; he even provided us with tips on possible local adventures! I absolutely loved making memories with my best friends in all of the rooms (and the place is massive!) Overall, this was the most fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this airbnb to anyone looking to enjoy their trip to the Adirondacks!

Incredibly peaceful and beautiful home with big bright windows. We had a 4 person corporate retreat and it was a perfect venue for that.
