What you'll do
We are happy to meet you who come to explore Vietnam and let the coffee talk about Vietnamese culture. What do you know about Vietnamese coffee culture, and how to make a daily coffee cup of Vietnamese people, as well as other variations of Vietnamese coffee like "Ca Phe Sua Da, Bac Xiu or Coconut Coffee ". And what makes " Phin coffee " - Traditional coffee so special in the eyes of Vietnamese as well as foreigners when coming here, instead of espresso or capuchino? And our workshop will provide the opportunity to get hand on with the farm - to - cup process, discover the traditional Vietnamese coffee and other variations from it. Last but not least, you will learn how to choose and brew a standard "Phin" coffee in Vietnam and can apply it at your own home when you return to your home country. And of course, enjoy your own coffee by the Vietnamese way. For The Half, Phin coffee still has a strange charm. Because with The Half, the name " Ca phe den da, Ca phe sua da " is something magical, mesmerizing. So, Even though we use English for menu but our coffee traditional Phin still to keep Vietnamese. Because we want to that when tourists comes here and try a traditional coffee, they know what they are enjoying, and how to call name it.
I'm the local coffee brewer in Hoi An ancient town, and so excited to share time with you. In the process of global integration, I feel the connection between coffee and culture, as well as the difference in coffee culture in each country. I founded The Half to share our coffee passion and share the unique culture of coffee and also create the perfect hands-on experience of traditional Vietnamese coffee and coffee beans. And I believe that coffee can connect people. I am proud of the space we have created and are confident to share your experiences and perspectives on coffee
