What you'll do
No artistic skill or experience is needed, just some curiosity and an open mind.
We'll use art-making to observe, express and grow -- in a fun way. The 'right side' of the brain concentrates on the present. It also focuses on being rather than doing, and pictures rather than words. We'll give it a chance to express itself.
To begin, you'll do some short drawing exercises focusing on mindful observation and exploring perception.
This will be followed by a coffee/tea break.
Next, I'll encourage you to forget all about what makes good or bad art as you explore a theme of your own in more depth. You'll choose from a variety of art media and we'll see what bubbles up.
Other things to note -
I've damaged my drawing hand and am undergoing rehab for it.
Generally, I don't make art with guests. You are the focus.
I'm happy to adjust the time of the experience to suit your schedule, if possible.

Born and bred in Sydney, I'm a prize-winning artist/illustrator with a 30 year career, who spent 20 years living in Japan studying and working. Initially I studied drawing for 4 years at Art School in Canberra. My post-graduate study was in printmaking in Kyoto. I also graduated with a Master of Art Therapy in 2016. Alain de Botton says that art is a tool that enables us to become better versions of ourselves. I couldn't agree more.
Where you'll be
Cremorne Point has spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and the city!
I have great views of the Harbour Bridge & the Opera House from the 3 arched windows of a top-floor apartment of a 1911 Arts & Crafts building.
I recommend you walk along the Cremorne Reserve Path from the wharf to my place.
There is a cafe at Cremorne Point Wharf.

Must-try for travelers who are into art therapy and mindfulness. Gregory will guide you through a thorough process using art as a form of expression and introspection. On top of that you have access to quality materials, a nice and cozy art space, and a spectacular view of Sydney. Two thumbs up!
