I’m a food writer with a master’s degree in food anthropology. I’m also an artisan bread and pastries enthusiast. I have years of experience researching and writing about British artisan bakeries and founded the blog Breadear to celebrate and promote great bread.
I’ve produced a printed bread guide and love sharing the story of the people and places that make good bread and pastries.

We really enjoyed spending Sunday morning meandering through Soho with Bee - definitely sampled some delicious breads and cakes and found a few new places we’ll return to! She was keen to go in to detail about the history and science of bread, and happy to answer any questions en route. We were also treated to a few surprises along the way! All in all a really nice morning, would recommend to any fellow foodies. - Steve & Becky

Bee is an insightful, knowledgeable and affable host. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Danish and Swedish bakeries in Covent Garden, a cheese shop near Neal’s Yard and a bakery in Chinatown. The tour didn’t feel hasty or too slow; it was at the perfect pace. You definitely get the bang for your buck as you get to chat with a food anthropologist while munching on delicious goodies. The culminating point of the tour was having the opportunity to meet some of the pastry chefs and getting a peak into their creative minds. How often does one get to do that!? Overall, it was a fantastic experience which I highly recommend to lovers of gastronomy, history and perpetual learning.

I had a lovely warm 2 hours in the morning with Bee in London. The places she introduced made some anchor spots for me in the center of London in which I might have got lost with tons of venues. She is really enthusiastic with bread and food ingredients, knowledgeable as well. Not only the breads, but you will enjoy great coffee, cheese, butter and in my case, blueberry soup with biscuit which was amazing.
