About your host

Growing up here on the coast, I spent more time than most in the redwoods. What we’ll do

Bring your bike and everything you will need for a ride (Helmet, water, etc). We will meet at a local trail head to gear up, sign waivers, check equipment and assess what type of riding you are interested in. Before heading out I will make sure that everyone knows the overall ride plan and what to do if they get separated. My goal is to create a fun experience and show off some of the best…

What else you should know

I take safety seriously. Helmets are required at all times. If booking as a group with mixed abilities I will stay with the last rider. I am trained in Wilderness First Aid however please ride within your ability. Mountain biking has inherent risks. I will carry basic tools and a pump.

What to bring

Mountain Bike
Bike Helmet
Hydration pack or water bottle filled with water
Gloves (optional)
Bike shoes
Riding glasses (optional) clear lenses
Ride appropriate clothing

Where you'll be

Most rides will be within the Mendocino Woodlands State Park. The park has miles of beautiful trails built in the 1930's spanning both sides of Big River that runs through the park.
