What you'll do

Do you know how to make Pierogi? Buttery, crisp Polish Pierogis stuffed with potatoes and cheese, are a holiday favorite from the very first bite for everyone who tries them. There are a lot of steps to my great-grandmother's Pierogi recipe but don't let that intimidate you! Anyone can make these tasty Pierogi. Let's spend an afternoon rolling, stuffing and cooking these delicious dumplings together. Making my recipe for homemade Pierogi starts with a great filing of cheese and potatoes, to save time I'll prepare the night before our class. Here comes the fun part. You get to roll out the dough, shape and stuff your pierogis, then give them a bath in boiling water. You'll be greeted with a glass of wine and a big ball of dough as we get you acquainted with what happens next. You will learn how to make a tasty pierogi one step at a time, mastering the art of pinching, an important step in the process. We will boil pierogi, toss the buttery onions in the skillet, and top each pierogi before popping it into your mouth. My guests will take pierogis home along with my great-great grandmother's secret recipe to make at home.

Learn more about Cynthia

Cynthia

I grew up in a small coal mining town surrounded by women who gathered to pick strawberries, plant gardens, harvest vegetables and can their crops for winter months. We all appreciated fresh, clean eating before it was trendy. When I left the small town, moved to the city to open a film, music & television production studio, working very long hours, ordering take-out and dining at restaurants, always feeling tired. I decided to design a commercial kitchen and incorporate a full-time chef into my business plan so my health could be a priority and my clients were given this amenity free of charge. Clients submitted their Favorites List, no detail was left unknown. The goal was to spoil every client so when bids got competitive, we simply added one ingredient, my hospitality! A business plan with a homegrown taste with proven success.
