*ASK ABOUT MY SPECIAL DAY OF THE DEAD TOUR OCT 19th - OCT 31st*
Start your day with the right foot eating street breakfast food like a local. Besides being a food writer and a tour guide, I am a currency trader. After my early trading sessions I like to go out and have some delicious coffee and breakfast from my local vendors.
On this experience we'll meet early in the morning to drink some of the best coffee in the city. Then we'll walk the streets of my beautiful neighborhood in search for some delicious breakfast tacos, chilaquiles and tamales.
This experience might be short, but it's packed with lots of food, and great information about the city's history, scene and current events. After this experience you will be prepared to take on the rest of your Mexico City activities.
Other things to note
I can accommodate vegetarian diets. Please keep in mind that this experience is meant to be a short one to get you ready for the rest of your activities in Mexico City.

I am a food writer and a professional tour guide. I have been leading the best culinary walks in Mexico City for the last 7 years. I come from a long line of cooks and food lovers. My family owned a restaurant for more than six decades where I grew and learned all the insides of the restaurant business – from how to perfectly clean a clay pot to cooking some of the most complex mole recipes. I am passionate about Mexican food, culture, and history. My ambition is to offer you the best experience in Mexico City so your hunger and curiosity about my wondrous city are satisfied.

Where you'll be
We'll be in Colonia San Rafael, one of the first Mexico City suburbs, developed in the late 1800's. Colonia San Rafael is known for its theaters, great location, and marvelous architecture.
After the walk you will be very close to many of the city's attractions in the historic center, the business district and a subway station.

We enjoyed Ben so much that this was the second experience we booked with him. His place is set up perfectly for a group to cook and for him to offer helpful cooking instructions. We all left absolutely stuffed on delicious food! I would recommend this experience to my friends!

Cooking with Benjamin is like cooking with family. He is very knowledgable about the food and its preparation, but he makes sure that you are having fun cooking too. We made several dishes, including salsas and drinks and we talked about food, travel and life. It was like catching up with an old friend. I recommend this or any other experience Benjamin offers.
