What you'll do
On our Campfire Cooking day, you will prepare and cook three dishes on your self built campfire – with some extra snacks along the way. We’ll guide you through every step, so don’t worry if you’ve never made a fire before, or if you can’t cook beans on toast. You’ll be able to sample some food that’s been grown on site at Stott’s Nursery and learn about different ways of building your own fire, before mastering the art of cooking on embers. Combining elements of bushcraft and foraging, our Campfire Cooking day is an excellent introduction to the rural life. We’ll be combining elements of prehistoric cooking techniques with modern tips and tricks to help you discover a wide variety of back-to-basics cooking skills.
