What you'll do

We will visit art galleries and artist studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn. We will meet a group of exciting people in this cool and trendy art scene of New York.
We will first meet at one of my favorite spots, where I will give you a brief introduction about the history of this great neighborhood, and how Bushwick evolved into one of the most renowned international art hubs of the world. Then, we will enjoy walking down the streets, surrounded by walls covered in graffiti, and we will visit art galleries to explore the art on display.
You will experience all of this like a local. No need of any kind of art background to enjoy the experience. As there is no right or wrong way to appreciate the arts, I will encourage you to ask as many questions as you like!
Other things to note
You can take as many photos as you'd like.
I speak English, French and Spanish.

The tour in Brooklyn was very engaging, covering the arts, murals, graffiti, sculpture and paintings, and introducing us to various artists and curators. We had several interesting and deep discussions with them and leaned a great deal about the area and its people. Carmen has been a wonderful host showing us her part of New York, highly recommended!

We loved this tour with Carmen. She took us to galleries that we would otherwise never find. A fantastic introduction to this rapidly changing neighborhood. She has extensive knowledge about all aspects of the art world and really helped us experience the art scene in a way we could not have done without her. She also made sure our tour was as baby friendly as possible for our little baby girl. Highly recommend!

This is a great opportunity to see Brooklyn studios and meet local artists. Carmen showed us a few studios and galleries. We were able to meet the artists, and the folks who were running the galleries. It was great chance to talk and connect to folks in the area! The wine and cheese was also nice ;)

Carmen provided a great introduction to the galleries and the neighborhood-- with some street art and social history along the way. We never would have found these places on our own. Highly recommended!
