What you'll do
After a brief introduction on the basics of composition, you will use a palette of paints, a set of brushes and a small canvas to create a scene from sketch to completion. In between, you'll have one to one guidance, make friends with other nature lovers, learn a new skill or take up a new hobby and a chance to discuss each other's pieces at the end.
Oh yes, and depending on the weather (it's England after all!), you'll be served a hot or cold drink to keep you going.
Other things to note
Be prepared for rain! Wear sensible clothes as gets cold when sitting still during the colder months. Wearing a scarf, a hat, fingerless gloves and a winter coat helps.
Trains and buses are frequent.

My interest in painting outdoors started early with travelling: it is a wonderful way to meet people, discover less touristic areas and enjoy myself while also becoming more aware of my surroundings.
Painting around cities, countryside and local markets opens one's eyes to the details within a culture that would normally be overlooked. It's a special entrance into a world that can be shared so easily.
Giving others a chance to explore a city through its hidden delights, is part of the reason why I started this experience. Anyone can use a smart phone, painting enriches a visual conversation.

Where you'll be
London is a city filled with extraordinary sites from its historical landmarks to its modern designs. However, it is a city of great natural beauty too. Unwind from the urban whirlwind in Wimbledon, home to the famous tennis tournament.
A Goat Willow Salix Caprea cosies up to a Hazel Corylus Aveliana with its striking reds. Its selection of wondrous trees standing strong beside a hawthorn, enchanting beside a cluster of holly bushes will wow you.

Clémence was patient, really encouraging for a beginner like me, and insightful. A beautiful spot to take in, learn and paint! She brought comfortable seat cushions, summer fruits and tea which was a lovely addition. A delightful and original way to spend a weekend afternoon. Absolutely recommend.

Clémence was so considerate and well prepared. She held the umbrella for the afternoon and brought a lot of snacks and hot drinks for me. She brought a warming mat for the seat as well. She inspired me to draw and paint, which was very useful when I was confused about my piece. It was good that we chatted throughout the experience. You would not feel bored while drawing with her!

Clémence is so great to work with. I immediately felt comfortable to do art in front of someone snd she inspired me to enjoy myself. The only complaint I would have was beyond her control- I was freezing by the end of two hours. I did paint with her in the middle of December! She even offered to start a new painting after we finished the first. I would paint with her again
