What you'll do

Come and catch a glimpse of Irish farm-life while getting as involved as you like with the daily chores. Hand feed pet lambs and calves and take in some of the breathtaking Wicklow scenery as part of the farm runs along the infamous Wicklow Way. You will be taken on a guided farm walk and meet all the farm animals, cows, calves, sheep, lambs and even the farm dog. Don't worry if you're nervous about meeting any of these animals as you can get as close as possible or remain behind the safety of a stock-proof fence.
Other things to note
You will need to make your own way to the farm as public transport will not take you directly to us. If you have any queries about getting here please feel free to get in touch.

Where you'll be

Our tour begins in the farmyard as you meet the baby animals and get the opportunity to feed the lambs and calves. We walk through the different sheds and proceed along a designated farm path through the fields. Some of the farm path runs along the Wicklow Way and is very scenic so don't forget your camera.

We had a lovely tour with Padraig and we were the only people on the tour so it felt very special. We enjoyed getting up close woth the animals but in a more natural way than a petting farm, if they wanted to approach us/let us touch them it was on their terms. We loved seeing around the different parts of the farm and sitting in the back garden for a coffee was also great.

Warm welcome and excellent Information about farm live in Ireland. Nice walk with good discussions. Many details about Irish history and actual situation of farming. Pádraig is farmer and teacher in a primary school. Therefore has big knowledge about broad range of questions. At the end showed us a good cafe.

J'ai vraiment aimé l'expérience. De plus on a eu droit à un petit goûter de la part de la grand-mère de Padraig, c'était vraiment sympa

This was probably my favorite activity while I visited Ireland. Our host was extremely friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and respectful. He provided mud shoes and proper attire to ensure our clothing didn't get dirty. We even took a break during the tour during which he welcomed us into his lovely home where we had scones and coffee. We learned about the history of Ireland and how farming fits into that history. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Ireland and wanting an authentic experience.

What an unbelievable experience! Not only was it in a breathtakingly beautiful setting, but Pádraig took care to make sure we were well equipped, giving us the boots and clothing we’d need to stay dry and clean. He showed us all of the details on his farm operation - the fun stuff and the difficult stuff - so we could get a genuine taste of what that life is like in Ireland, which I felt was really unique! Additionally, he took some great HD photos for us throughout the whole experience and quickly shared them with us for our keeping. Last but not least, the scones and tea provided in between the experience were simply delicious :). If you’re looking to explore Ireland’s beautiful countryside, and want to see some truly adorable animals, I highly recommend this experience!
