What you'll do

This class serves as a unique opportunity to learn select material from the most recent repertory works of Jonah Bokaer Choreography. Beginning with a warm-up focused on energetically charging the body, dancers will prepare for movement experimentation incorporating ideas from dance, theater, architecture and media. Special emphasis will be placed on exploring repertory phrases and concepts, with the opportunity to gain insight to the generative process of the choreography. Physical Influences of the class include Jonah Bokaer's performance histories with the work of Robert Wilson, Tino Sehgal, Deborah Hay, David Gordon, Merce Cunningham, George Balanchine, Daniel Arsham, and 18 years of studies in Alexander Technique, Qi Gong, Yoga, and Martial Arts from the Near & Far East.
Other things to note
Rain or shine, we'll have a great dance experience.

Our studio is also uncommonly beautiful, well-lit, heated, and with panoramic natural light.
