Where you'll be

Each group class will roam the streets of Manhattan's Chinatown neighborhoods. Chinatown has a rich history, vibrant ethnic culture and is my favorite place to capture authentic moments.

Marla was simply great. She was unbelievably patient while going through the settings of my camera and she gave me lots of hints for street photography which I’m sure I won’t forget! Would have loved to have a longer workshop!

I would say it was an OK class. It felt a bit like rushing from one thing to another, but never staying with one setup long enough to get it really right. So I learned a lot of theory, but would have loved to go home with some nice shots too!

I really enjoyed my morning learning with Marla. She taught me so much about my camera and photography in general from composition and light to more technical aspects of using my camera. Everything she did was in a very comprehensive and patient way. On top of that it was great exploring Chinatown, spending time with her and has hearing her very interesting stories about her career in photography.

I loved! I would definitely do it again, we saw the theoretical part first and then we practiced in the streets, it was beyond a photography class since we talked about how it is important because in each photo and to support the work with storytelling.
