What you'll do

Together, we will visit 3 - 5 galleries showcasing contemporary artists from Austin, the greater Texas region, and beyond. I will provide background on each artist and their work, and contextualize their style and themes within the broader contemporary landscape.

To keep our energy up, we’ll make a stop for drinks & small bites at a local cafe or restaurant. Refreshments are my treat!
Other things to note
Happy to accommodate any preferences, whether to indulge your curiosity in a certain neighborhood, theme, or style, to make our pit stop as tasty as can be, or to help you arrange transportation.

I first fell in love with visual art through an historical lens, studying the Spanish Masters from the 17th & 18th century, and then diving into 20th century modern art during my studies at Yale. These days, my focus has shifted to contemporary. The art of the moment is a powerful tool for growing our empathy, and introducing us to new worlds and ways of thinking. I’m always keeping a finger on the pulse, seeing 100+ exhibitions each year, curating shows & events, visiting artist studios, and keeping up with all the latest art reviews. As an arts advocate in Austin, I love sharing the power of visual narrative with others. I’ve curated and led gallery tours in Seattle, New York, and Austin— happy to customize based on your interests! I've led themed tours on street art, photography, Black art, Latinx art, Queer art, and Art x Tech.

Where you'll be

We will visit 3-5 galleries and art spaces in the Austin metro. I will curate a selection of “shows of the moment”, so our exact destinations will depend on the season. Since the gallery scene here is rather decentralized, you’ll also have the opportunity to experience 2-3 distinct Austin neighborhoods.
