What you'll do

Escape the big smoke for an unforgettable day of nature and activities on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

After a one hour drive from Melbourne in my comfortable mini van, we'll start the day with an easy 5km hike along the coast. Stopping to check out the stunning scenery at Cape Schanck, one of Melbourne's best kept secrets, you'll get the chance to meet some of the local wildlife. I'll also give you some fun facts on the area's unique geographic and anthropological history.

After a feed at a fantastic local cafe we'll make our way to the beautiful beach at Mornington for some kayaking and paddleboarding. Dolphins visit this area on a daily basis so if you're lucky you might see some swimming alongside you.

This is an action packed day with lots of insta-worthy photo opportunities so bring your camera and your sense of adventure for a day you won't forget.
Other things to note
Bring sunscreen, active wear, swimwear, a towel, snacks, water, money to buy lunch
If your accommodation is on the route I can pick you up, otherwise the meeting point is St Pauls Cathedral

I quit my corporate job in 2017 to start an adventure business called TripFit Adventures. Now, instead of sitting in an office all day, I spend my life taking guests on amazing adventures around the best parts of Melbourne and Victoria. I love fitness and the outdoors and I can't wait to share my city with you.

TripFit Adventures has grown to include co-hosts, Lou and Mike, who both share a passion for Melbourne and great outdoors

Where you'll be

We'll start our adventure at Cape Schanck, home of the famous lighthouse and formed from volcanic lava over 100 million years ago.

Next we'll head to Arthur's Seat, site of the aforementioned volcano (thankfully long since extinct) and the highest point on the Mornington Peninsula. The views from the top are breathtaking.

Finally we'll head to Mornington, the oldest town on the peninsula on home to one of its most beautiful beaches.

Incredible! I ended up doing two experiences with this company and both exceeded my expectations! (Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island) Rich was awesome very knowledgeable about all of the places. Would have booked more if I stayed in Australia longer!

Great day trip! Rich made an effort to create a positive group dynamic and it worked. He was a knowledgeable host and it felt like we got to experience a piece of his hometown area.

This is great experience you won't want to miss. There is nothing better than a local guide like Rich to take you to special places you wouldn't see otherwise especially hiking and biking.

We had a very nice day! The hike was beautiful and we had good views and saw kangaroos. Mountainbiking was also a lot of fun - Rich explained everything and made sure we got along and were able to try different routes. We finished the day kayaking. Overall, I can highly recommend this day trip - it is a great way to see the area and the combination of hiking, biking and kayaking was perfect! Would do it again or book one of the other trips offered!
